BTW not enough is being made about Donte Williams being the first black head coach in school history.

Also them passing over Graham Harrell who is a coordinator and the 2nd longest tenured assistant coach on staff and Mike Jinks who was a head coach at Bowling Green and an assistant head coach at Texas Tech, is pretty telling that it's over for the pro raid offense next year.

Some whispers in this region that Sam Pittman might get a serious look at USC.

LOL nah

That isn't really accurate though right. He got extended because Smith's teams have looked better every season, got screwed out of a win vs UW by pac 12 refs, and kicked their rival Oregon's asses despite refs doing everything they could to screw them again. It's like CP in UW those first couple years.

Norvell won't get fired. He will be fine. (at least has far as his Job on this contract goes)

Barring some sort of complete collapse of course. The season will take care of itself.

He (and his offensive staff) are just idiots for what they tried to pull on Saturday and treating the game like a passing scrimmage and for experimenting. You don't have the type of team to be able to do that with just yet. Had they just run the ball as much as they ran it the first game (and as much as they should be running it every game with the roster as it is currently constructed) we wouldn't be having this discussion. **** how it looks, you just need to win the dang games.

That decision might spell the end of his tenure in a couple of years, if he is unable to reverse the recruiting impact this season that I have no doubt will come to pass at some point. The roster needs a talent infusion in the worst way. And now you just made the challenge that much harder.

Thank god...If I have to watch us throw on 2nd and 3 and 3rd and 2 every offensive series, I'm going to poke my eyes out.

They've won national titles in damn near every decade since the Great Depression.

It's a damned good job.

There's not a fan/alumni base that cares more about kicking *** at football anywhere in the country.

And failing at everything else too.

Texas is a great job, but it's greatness is a bit overstated when you encompass everything that comes with the job.

The booster situation ALONE is enough to knock it down a couple of notches
