Official 2021 Boxing Thread: 11/6 - Canelo Alvarez vs. Caleb Plant SHO PPV

I like that the Nail is coming back if he’s healthy. Beterbiev is always going to give him problems, but he’s got a shot against anyone else at 175 or 168.

Gvozdyk is a tougher style for Smith than Beterbiev IMO. Beterbiev probably KO's Smith, but Smith can connect more on Beterbiev.

I love Beterbiev but his chin is iffy for how aggressive and physical he fights. He’s going to get cracked sooner or later.

We’ll never know, but I think prime Kov would have been able to keep him off of him with his jab, and would have won that fight by either a close decision or a late stoppage.

I agree

Definitely one of the top what if fights of the past few years. It's crazy to think that they're roughly the same age. A true 50/50 fight and I would've favored beterbiev to break kovalev down and stop him.

Kovalev actually had good boxing skills to go with his explosiveness ... decent footwork, fought well from distance. Ward just happened to expose the fact that he couldn’t take too many body shots.

Not only the body shots but the physicality as well which is why I'd pick beterbiev if we are talking prime for prime
