Mertz is fantastic. Gives Wisconsin a dynamic they haven't really had since Russ.

It's insane. They're always good up front and they almost never recruit what you'd look at and say "brain dead no questions asked STUD".

For sure. Too young not too, plus his "mind" and now working with Saban on the resume...rerouted to a smaller school like Kiffin then something bigger after a couple seasons.

I don't think he'll have to go the long route like Lane did... Not nearly as toxic from a personality perspective. Just needs to be sober.
