If after the summer Ben is still a daily topic 24/7 then it might be approaching 2011 status but until then it's probably more like PG last year.
Next time he'll be in the news after this initial wave of furor dies down after this week might be when there's some trade discussions surrounding him.
Not really expecting folks to be pyschoanalyzing him and dissecting his existence from all angles in a few weeks.
I don't envy these athletes during the SM era though, gotta be an insane and exhausting way of life having your every fault put on blast on the big screen and discussed by any and everyone

PG is somewhat instructive because that piling on was wayyyy undeserved. Did we discuss Bucks/Hawks yet? I got bucks in 5 based on Giannis and Lopez being more of a paint presence than Embiid. Holiday should be able to "contain" Trae, especially if his Game 7 performance carries over. Don't think Opie and Bogdonavic play as well against Middleton and PJ, but IDK

I personally think there's plenty of blame to go around in Philly--Simmons not being able to shoot the broad side of a barn, Doc Rivers chocking away about game-7/series he should've won, and Embiid chocking in the 4th quarter in 3 critical games.
But that's just my opinion.

There's not much to it, happens all the time.LOL @ LeBron being protected and the NBA (or any sports league) somehow regulating the amount of criticism it's athletes can get.
Can you imagine Adam Silver or somebody from the NBA League office calling FS1, ESPN, NBCSports and saying "look, I need you guys to lay off Ben Simmons."
