The swing in opinion on the Portland Denver series in here

After game 1 it was of course Portland was going to destroy Denver, there’s no chance for the nuggets

Now it’s Portland should have been blown up years ago

No victory laps after three games and a 2-1 lead, it could get even, but so far, people were focusing on the wrong matchup, backcourt vs. frontcourt.

The Blazers frontcourt can’t stop the Nuggets even fouling out every game in the process, while everyone was focused on the backcourt matchup which hasn’t dictated the series, yet.

Heat in 7.

Sorta losing my fandom for John Collins with each game, now the random complaining, dude was an efficiency monster throughout the season when healthy. Maybe he’ll close out the series on an upswing.

They just giving themselves a bunch of excuses. Nate going out sad. His backcourt mate was Gary Payton, arguably the sneakiest dirtiest biggest trash talker ever, and Nate over here having his players complain.

Collins for sure didn’t have a season that blew anyone away. He was still good overall and I don’t blame him at all asking for max money he should look out for himself but from the hawks perspective this season wasn’t one that would convince them to offer him a Max contract.
He’s lowkey looking like a guy people think should be the second guy on a team but he slick might actually be a 3rd guy

Truth. And there’s also a contingent in here that seems to have fixation on teams “blowing it up”.
With the blazers, they’re adding pieces that don’t help their biggest flaw: defense. At this point the goal is to outscore everyone and when Dame/CJ ain’t cooking, they look poverty

Portland really should be ashamed of themselves if they lose this series.

They will. Portland takes Game 4; Nuggets win the series in 6.

Then Blazers become the one team that really should talk about blowing it up. Same nucleus for 5 or 6 years and are not getting any closer to title contention. That’s when you look at dramatic changes.

I’ve been saying for like 3 years running the Blazers should have moved off the Dame/CJ core.

My comment was more directed all the other teams people in here have said should blow it up.

Blazers probably come out fighting for their life (cannot get down 3-1), and get the win. This likely goes back to Denver 2-2.

Yeah someone on Wob’s Radio Roulette last night said, “In a 3-and-D league, Portland’s all 3 and No D.”

Portland has 0 good one on one defenders. Roco is only amazing on the help side and off ball

This is arguably the best team a prime Lillard has played for. Eventually they have to realize something isn’t working there.

How the Clippers move forward after this season pretty much depends entirely on whether Kawhi comes back. If the does, they don’t have much choice but to run it back. Move off Beverly and Reggie; maybe try to sign Lowry.

If Kawhi bolts, then blowing it up probably makes sense. With PG as their best player, they’re looking at fringe playoff contention in the West, at best.
