Teams usually had a low post threat back then as well. Mutombo even got his touches with his reliable jump hook.

A whole lot of "We" instead of "I"
Good roster for what the comp was at the time. I post it a million times, but AI himself said in a complex interview that he HATES how people refer to that Sixers team as a bunch of “bums”. They covered for his weaknesses at the time, and allowed him to do what he does best. Get buckets.
Team woulda been straight if they kept Larry Hughes from some years before. But it wasn’t in the timeline. Also, a look at some of the rosters from that season’s East playoff teams/contenders and AI’s contemporaries . Milwaukee probably had the best roster…but was top heavy, with some liabilities on defense. And it’s a reason that ECF went to 7. But yeah….LOOK:
Raptors
Magic
Heat
Bucks
PG talking like a team leader always has me dying.
I picture the team going like this whenever he opens his mouthMe too. I always thinking about him getting catfished for sum reason lmao
They're losing to Donovan Mitchell who is averaging 41 through 2 games along with good 3pt shooting from the supporting cast. Outside of the the first half of Game 1, Goober has done his job as a high level role player as well.I’d rather to lose to Luka than to lose to Rudy man
A superstar losing to Rudy Gobert
Of course AI ain't gon **** on his teammates but none of them dudes was playmakers, non of them could really get their own shot. Mutombo was a great defensive presence, that's how he made his all-star games. Eric Snow, George Lynch, etc they was real good role players.
I remember the east very well back then, I watched it play it. It was filled with a bunch average to good teams at the top and bad teams at the bottom in those 6-8 seeds. That's why Philly only made one ECF. They didn't have a good enough roster. AI CARRIED them in 01, CARRIED them to a win against Shaq and Kobe (only L they took that year).

We don’t disagree. I hate when people call them bums that he carried tho. They weren’t.
Best individual game 1 of a finals performance I’ve ever seen to this date. 48 & a win…against arguably the greatest team ever. 16-1 Lakers. That (1) came because of Bubba Chuck. Incredible
Another thing ppl don’t give AI credit for, was how good he was moving without the ball. They think of him as an iso player, due to the crossovers…but he ran a ton of curls and pin downs to get open. And a lot of cuts and transition. Shoot, the “Iverson cut” is a staple in today’s nba.
Crazy that game 1 of the 2001 nba finals was 20 years ago, this past June 5th. AI bday was 2 days later. June 7th

People say Giannis needed/needs to go to GS. Nah.
Giannis needs to find a way to play Luka. Can’t believe he signed that extension.
Homie was after the bag; I don't blame him. I would've done the same
I agree with that too, it’s hard to turn that money down knowing Giannis’ family story.
But I just don’t see how it lasts in Milwaukee. Luka does everything he can’t and vice versa.
