I understand your view point too. Portugal has a great amount of talent to pick from, Canada is more a work in progress. Portugal doesn't need to continue relaying on Ronaldo but I could see Canada continuing to start Davies past his prime. Ronaldo should still get a spot on the team, just not an automatic starter right now.

If Messi is in the starting lineup of the 2030 WC, that's an issue.
