How many times have people immediately forced you into a conversation about Ronaldo when they find out you’re Portuguese?
I’ve lost count, and it’s honestly extremely annoying and kind of insulting if you think about it
yah not enough respect for my taste,
Ronaldo career gets you unlimited respect imo.
argentina also, Messi starting in 2030 unless he says "nah"
Which is why I am a fan of so many teams. I always find a way to find common ground with da winning squad. When I was growing up it was Maradona. Now it’s Messi. No matter where I am in the world I can find common ground with people chatting about football
Completely different situations between the two players. Lumping them together is lazy analysis. Messi has been getting regular club football. Ronaldo has not and is clearly not in form. Portugal played brilliantly with him on the bench in the Round of 16. Now his absence is the reason they lost? Nah, can’t have it both ways.
I wonder if GGG dropped da Reyna heat to sully the young man’s reputation to get himself a new contract
When I was growing up it was Maradona. Now it’s Messi. No matter where I am in the world I can find common ground with people chatting about football
I mean I get it, but I want to also talk about the culture, history, nightlife, events, destinations, etc. Instead, a lot of the time people try to force me into talking about Ronaldo as if that’s he’s the only good thing to come from Portugal.
It’s like if I meet Japanese people and all I ask them about is anime, when there’s so much more of their culture to learn and talk about.
I’m not saying I get mad or anything, it’s just annoying after a while
