Now with Lackey out of the way, Montgomery goes for the sweep tomorrow, then we get an off day with Jake, Quintana, Lester lined up for the St Louis series, with Hendricks back after that. Could be a nice week ahead. 2.5 back, need to keep momentum going, see if Theo can add another piece or two.

Bryant damaged a finger, or fingers on his left hand.

Right before the Cards and Brewers series'.

Sucks Bryant went down, but doesn't stop the Cubs.

Montgomery with 6 solid innings AND crushed a home run.

Baez a 3-run bomb, Addy 4 hits, and LaStella comes in for KB and homers.

6 straight W's. Now pray for health for Bryant.

i've been looking all over for this thread. how you find it? this new NT is somewhat confusing. i had to search to find it. it has to be an easy way. anyhow we are rolling and The brewers are on a 4 game losing streak. we only 1.5 games outta 1st place. Bryant is only day to day so we should be good.

If you had this as a subscription, then it's now under Watched Threads. On the left side Options icon.

It may be hidden in there, near bottom of that list it says show all watched threads, click that. Then you should find.

Lester was brilliant today until he was 1 pitch away from getting thru 8.

What a game. Lester with a 1 hit shutout into the 8th and somehow allows back to back homers.

Rizzo RBI "double"

Rizzo was a blooper that Bryant SCORES FROM FIRST on, and Rizzo takes second on the play.

Davis shuts down the 9th. W.

Brewers are being murdered 15-1 so we need to come out hot vs the White Sox and make sure we pick up this game. Give us a little wiggle room for the weekend set.

Rizzo added a solo shot, and Lester went 7 strong.

Now a big 3 game set vs the Brewers during the final trade deadline weekend.

Caratini his first career homer, Bryant his 20th.

Bullpen gave up zero runs in the series.

Reportedly, Candelario and Padrese (sp?) + PTBNL or cash being dealt to Detroit for LHP Justin Wilson and C Alex Avila.

Wilson is signed thru 1 more year, so he could replace Wade Davis if we don't re-sign him next year.

Davis, Wilson, CJ, Rondon, Strop, Montgomery, Duensing, Uehara bullpen.

Avila basically replaces Montero.

Caratini can go back to Triple A and play everyday to be ready for next year as a backup to Contreras.

Theo adds Quintana, Wilson, Avila without dealing a single guy from the 25 man roster.

Grimm and Caratini likely to Triple A tomorrow. Both will be up in September or if there's an injury in August.

damn just saw the wilson trade. definitely needed another lefty in the pen. so wilson then davis. not bad.

but man i just hate to see young prospects go. i guess theo is going for back to back rings.

2.5 games up and counting.....the upcoming nationals series will be fun to watch.
