Unpopular opinion: I honestly think Obi should stay on the bench.

If Randle can play with sense, no sense trading him.

The change of pace that comes with the bench mob is excellent and keeps teams on their heels. Allows us to keep ourselves in the game or even build runs. Obi is key to that.

Unlikely: Play RJ, Obi & Randle altogether. Stagger their min so at least 1 is on the court w/ that still deep bench.

How? Best and easiest addition by subtraction move is to find a new home for Frenchie and keep Grimes on the bench. Idk if Cam will be able to get it together but it likely won’t matter anyway.

And that should open some minutes for Jericho too.

Probably my two biggest takeaways from the minutes I watched from preseason. Brunson is the clear floor general and Randle has deferred which is a good sign. And Cam wont be in the rotation unless a wing gets hurt.

IQ is not and will never be a lead point guard. He will continue to freeze out Deuce and ballhog but it’s ok for now. His act will get tired soon and/or he plays himself into a role somewhere else.

Evan’s days at MSG are probably the shortest numbered. Grimes may not start but he’s going to finish those games.

With RJ & Obi looking like they’ve come to show & prove this year, they look like a playoff bound group of men.

Top 10 defense potential. Top 10 defense guaranteed with more time for Deuce with the starters.

Good things ahead for this szn.
