I often wonder this as well.

The irony of the COTM program is that it's a hit with many AF1 purist. However from a GR perspective it's probably a bit of a fail. I know a lot of COTMs sell out once they are sub 100. I wonder if the purist just want that OG price point.

I do but I also think they will move quick at first sign of a price drop.

I really do think the COTMs are better (and those are definitely hitting sale), the only thing that separates the COTMs and the Brons is the association with Bron and the legacy aspect of them.

I got a couple COTM.. those pairs actually got me back into getting more than just the white on white… I thought COTM meant 1 new color for every month of the year but it started last year and clearly is still going on… anyone got any more info on the concept behind it?

I like how COTM pairs go on sale quicker than the other pairs

It’s a reference to Baltimore in 1984. Nike discontinued the AF1 and three retailers got together and requested Nike bring them back in new colors. They agreed to a minimum order and had the AF1 exclusively in a new color every month for a time.

If they were all selling out, I'd pay the $150 for the cotm. But I know I can wait and them at $100 so I do.
