I'd head back to good old 1985 and buy every aj1, and probably every og Powell and Santa Cruz deck. Then It's off to 94 for some supreme goodness.

It all depends on how you wear them.

They both don't fade so easily, especially wearing them casually.

You either have to really be rugged with them, or fade them forcefully with alcohol, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, etc.

The whites seem to be slightly harder to fade. I forced the fading on the blacks-didn't strip them, just faded.
