It can be argued it’s most important but no way, the best Jordan(s) ever made are well after the 1 (which is almost every 80s shoe ever with a logo) just in remaster form it IS the best of that lot

paper has nothing to do with it...its just how the black paint oxidizes over time

Only thing for certain is that it takes a couple years to show up, and I think the process happens quicker with humidity. I’ve been checking them religiously over the last year or so, hoping I’d be in the clear. I’d take pics but y’all know what it looks like, will check the rest of my pairs over the weekend.

Oldest pairs of DS 1s i have both 2015s. Been boxed since I picked them up. Chicago’s have no signs so far. The SBB upper does have a certain glimmer to the leather.
