That’s the example you’re running with? Weird.Y'all let the metallic reds sit for months. JB doesn't trust y'all as consumers anymore and I don't blame em.

Comparing BC4’s and stuff like that to the metallic burgundy’s is borderline insane. What are you talking about? They made 5x as many of the 4’s. And they didn’t sit. Being available for a few days isn’t rotting on shelves.Bc3s, Reimagined 4s, amm 3s, and 4s etc.... all sat. Why would JB keep producing these large quantities of y'all are gonna let them sit on shelves. Selfishly, I'd like for them keep releasing shoes that sit but they are a clothing/footwear brand and to remain relevant "hype" is necessary. I don't agree with the move but I understand the move. It's easy to play armchair CEO but balancing availability, exclusivity, and hype is very hard to do.

So many dunces here who just create whatever narrative they want, facts be damned.
Bro came in here caping crazy…When did those ever sell out
Now the price is dropping on stockx. i'm gonna wait it out. I cant see myself paying over 500 for this shoe...
Nope. Just looking at it from JB's point of view... I understand y'all are emotional right now so I'll cut y'all some slack.Lol bro is Nike / JB hype man.
They sold 400k+ MB4’s, 400k+ BC3’s, 500k+ BC4’s, and at least a half million Columbia XI’s. The 4’s were hard to find a week later. Those are unmitigated successes. Some of their best selling retros EVER.Well, firstly, my conversation was with Kingsin. Secondly, I'm speaking to the original I made that y'all let OGs sit on shelves which is why JB doesn't trust y'all anymore. They're a business, if you think you could do better then it's time to start climbing JB's corporate ladder and get into a position of power to start making the decisions that are in the best interest of the company
You’re just babbling with examples that make no sense. You enjoy reading unintelligent nonsense yourself?^^mans doesn't take sneaker discourse lightly
No one ever asked for artificial exclusivity. There’s a big difference between 100k pairs not satisfying demand and dropping 10k knowing you’ve cut off 100% of demand or more. It’s terrible business leaving tens of millions of dollars of revenue on the table for any production run, and it’s terrible business alienating your customer who would have bought the product if it was available to buy at all.Producing this shoe at 10k was a **** move by JB and you can't convince me of anything else. Even satin breads sold more than 10k out the gate. Same with parent reimagineds. They know they can release this shoe every couple years and sell at least 100k out the gate, especially when they aren't done bastardized version like the Flyknits, patents, and satins (I bought all of which by the way).
I get that this brings that feeling of exclusivity back to the brand but truthfully the issue has been the sheer number of releases not necessarily the quantity. We need to go back to one or two retros a month. Not 2-3 retros a week.

Exactly, Kierris been trollin, so idk why ya falling for that
But the blue check "Sneaker Influencers" on twitter have been parroting the same BS.
Cats that aren't even getting a seeded pair from JB talkin bout "I'm gLaD tHeY dId ThIs! ReStORe tHe FeElInG!!!!!!!"
Like **** man
Like I said I bought all the variants, I truly love Bred 1s and I try to pick up just about every pair. With stock being cut to 10k I just don't have the energy to even try on this one. JB legit leaving free money (MY MONEY!) on the table by releasing this way.No one ever asked for artificial exclusivity. There was a poster on here who, I'm assuming is an insider at JB, said that they don't like their products sitting on shelves. So with that context in mind you gotta assume having the releases I mentioned not being instant sellouts really bothered them. We don't care about hype but JB obviously does so I don't think it's just about sales with them.I don't think it is that difficult. The goal is to make more money every year. To do that you want to grow your consumer base no?
So why knowingly undercut demand? How does resell prices make the brand more $$$?
They don't like sneakers fr. If you did you've been enjoying the past year and a half. Restore what feeling?

It's called manufactured hype bruh... With it only being 10k they can brag about them selling out and also having that "exclusivity" factor. It's the same thing designer brands do with their pieces. I'm guessing JB will do this with a few sought after Jordan releases in hopes that reignites the demand for amongst casuals.Once again...how does LIMITING THIS SHOE fix that?
These were going to sell out at 10k or 100k pairs.
