Pretty sure. One is made in a China and the other Taiwan...which I checked and both countries produced the BRED’s in ‘98.. So maybe the color code was different depending on where the factory was...

I'm confused with you. Look the 98 and 04 releases had true red not varsity. The latest release was listed as true red as well. I guess we need pics of the shoes. But I assure you, originals were true red. 2013? idk I didn't get those. But from comparison pics, they matched the 17 very close.minus the 3m

The 2013’s were Varsity. But in the GOAT link above you can see the shoes look 100% legit. So odd.

Well Altitude is not a new colorway, it’s been around.
And it looks clean, black shoe body, green rubber outsole

The Varsity Red box labels do look fishy... the fonts are slightly off, and the logo is "skinnier" than the other box labels that have been posted. However, I would not rule out the possibility that they are real; different factories, especially back then, certainly could have produced different variations of the box. It is very strange that they would mess up on the color, but we have seen more obvious issues on box labels before (i.e. JORDNA on Space Jam XI's in 2000).
