if you like your shoes bulky i would keep the 17, but if you are more into a slimmer look i would take the upcoming 22 release, shape wise the upper from the 17 is closer to the OGs than the 22 release, because they have shaved away material on the upper from the 22 SBs

Here's a quick shot of my 2022 pair from Slam Jam (bottom) vs. a 2016/17 pair I have that's still DS. Upon quick comparison, the biggest difference besides the stitch and the pull tab is that the silver on the 2022 pair appears a little darker and more "sparkly" to me.
