I don't know what you personally envision when you talk about people collecting stuff but I'd like to see a community of people who share their love for every day items. Because they are special to them in a way the usual guy doesn't get.
You don't need any "special releases" or anything like that. Just a good product. The "special" part of it is what you appreciate about it.
It used to be that way when I started out collecting sneakers.

It used to be how old your sneakers are, now it's how limited they are. Now if you don't have the latest collab, limited sneaker or Yeezy people think your collection if worthless.
