Yea Hamilton looked like %!%* in that Rays series. Kinsler gonna have to come through big again if Hamilton decides he doesnt wanna show up for another series if they wanna get past the Yanks.

I dont get to watch a whole lot of Texas games. But I did like how they played game 5 forcing action at bases and making the Rays make mistakes. I dont know if they do that all the time. But I think they could give the Yankees a hard time on the bases if they force Posada to make throws. Obviously on everyone except Andy. I think even with CC throwing so hard I might test Posada.

I don't think it's about him not wanting to show up, those ribs have been bothering him for sometime and the crashing into the wall just made it 100x worse.  He'll face Boone Logan a lot who is notoriously tough on lefties.  On the other hand, Yanks hit Darren Oliver pretty well so I expect to see a lot of Holland this series.

Yanks SP's have to pitch out more and slide step with certain folks on base. They were aggressive versus Tampa but also on the edge to becoming reckless. If any team can prepare and take advantage of those mistakes, it's the Yankees.

No one wanna take a $15 bet?

Yea I didnt mean decide not to show up like that. I couldnt imagine how much it would hurt to have to swing all out with bruised ribs and $@+#. And on top of that be running around Center field for an entire game. We on the same page with that.

And yea some of that "aggressive" base running was borderline stupid. Cruz's little "let me make up for not getting this triple cuz I dogged it out of the box" steal that ended up in a run was extremely dumb but it paid off.

I was listening to SVP on ESPN radio and him and Ryan was talkin about it. They was like dont do the whole antlers thing when you thought you got all of it and then had to struggle into 2nd when you should have been on 3rd, And then dont go antlers again when you got a bad jump trying to make up for it and the only reason you got there was because of a bad throw.

I could see the Yankees throwing behind runners a lot trying to get them caught forcing action.

The Yankees say they have a plan for success against Rangers left-hander Cliff Lee, who they'll face in Game 3 of the ALCS.

"He's not invincible," Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long said.

"He's not the Messiah that nobody can beat. Everybody seems to be conceding him two games, but there's a lot of baseball yet to be played."

The only two games Philadelphia won against New York in the World Series last fall came when Lee started.

"Look, we know he attacks the strike zone," Long said.

"Should we be more aggressive than normal? I would say so," he added. "But you can't be overly aggressive either, because nothing he throws is coming down the middle. If he's hitting his spots in and out, it's gonna be tough. We just gotta be ready to hit from the moment we step into the box."
