Oh that's simple; they weigh over 4000 pounds. They have improved the handling drastically though, but they're not going to go anywhere until they lower the weight. You can pull off crazy numbers from the internet all you want, but power to weight ratio is everything.

cosign.

power to weight is everything. just like with the 2.7L v6 charger, that joint is mad under powered for that tank. thats why everyone says get a hemi, becausethe hemi can actually move that car.

Not to mention other than the vette, viper, G8, CTS-V and Mustang there aren't really any well handling American "muscle" cars sold. I dorememebr that Fbodies could carve some corners like no other without too much supposedly

thats not tellin da whole story....if your car has a ton of torque as well as high HP numbers you'll have heavy acceleration in both high and low RPMs
I can already tell where this argument is gonna go. There is no talking to you about cars.
why cuz im right?

and no i don't own a domestic car..i have however driven them..whats ur point?

That doesnt prove anything for either side.

But the fact of the matter is, pushing the pedal down in an auto with power = no skill. All you gotta do is keep the wheels straight.

Again, auto in a car that is built for speed takes away from the feel tremendously.

425 running 14s is not a fast car. HP doesnt mean everything.

not mad, just vexed like I said. Too many "posers" on the road.

But I'm guessing you(supermanblue) must fall under the category of those dont know how to drive stick shift.

Not to $%%! on anyones fun or thunder but every real car enthusiasts knows manual gearbox >>>> auto.

It's not even up for discussion.

1. more control of the car.
2. higher man to machine connection/relationship
3. fuel efficient
4. loads of fun
5. launches, burn outs, doughnuts, drifting (see bullet #1)

Professor Vexed went to the whiteboard on me

If that's how giving an automobile a daily fapping makes you feel then enjoy.

I have no problem with manual transmission, but I prefer an automatic.
Now if we are talking bonafide sports cars such as Z06, Ferrari, Porshe, ect...then a manual is a must.

son u sounds like u know nuffin about drivin b

first of. "holdin da wheel" is as important as knowin da clutch.

second, i already went thru da fact that SRT's not only have PLENTY of horsepower @ 425 but its its incredible torque @ 500 lbs per feet. so you thinkinthats not "fast" is

foolish of you. as far as transmissions are concerned :

da camaro 2010 and cts-v run BETTER as a automatic then manual because of optimized shifts points VS da manual. expect manual cars to continue to lose groundto automatics.

Son. Stop talking.

Stop trying to justify all these new auto gearboxes and whatnot. Of course an auto shifts more precisely than a manual. Youstill have more control of a car with a manual transmission, and makes your driving experience 10 times better. It takes no skill to race an auto.

Granted you arent going to be racing every damn day, minute, second, street, red light. But stepping on the gas and "beating" another car doesntexactly make you the better driver, nor does it show any skill.

And again you prove another point I make. All you care about is horsepower. When will you stop being so ignorant, and learn that horsepower means NOTHING whenyou are in a heavy car.

I dont know anything about driving? Says the person who doesnt even have a damn car from what ive read. Only thing you whip is your metrocard out of yourpocket.

1. havin a "better" driving experience is subjective. if da modern gear boxes are better performing then da old manuals..who are U totell someone they suck at drivin cuz they

prefer to drive a auto?
laugh.gif

2. u can't read cuz i said horsepower AND torque is what give da car itsaceleration. if a car has over 500 lbs of torque its gonna be NOPROBLEM

moving da weight at low RPMS. unlike JDM's that for da most part LACK torque in they engines Domestic muscle cars can move that weight like nuffin.

im' sorry that da concept of TORQUE is such a new concept wit da import crowd..at least germans heads know what im talkin about. so like i said..U need toSIT DOWN
