Official Bitcoin Thread

blood on the streets just few days ago (bitcoin coulda been had for $3800-$4200) now at $6300. props to the big boys who bought during lows.

Im strongly thinking about throwing $100 into BTC. Should I pull the trig?

I already bought 1 ETH for the low.

the conservative in me says do u really want to put in $100 in 20% upswing? maybe wait for a pull back?

the risk taker in me says..... its gonna hit 8k soon

gotta DCA fellas... prices move fast. if you wanna throw 1k at a coin just put 50 dollars a week until you get to your goal... less risk along the way...

wish i bought some 5k btc... ended up buying some .03 cent XLM...

Crypto is still too risky at this point, and with the corona virus spreading throughout the US shutting down our economy we will need fiat. I think we will see new lows. If we do I will be buying.

I [SUB]spent some money when it was 5k to sell it for a quick little turn over. Probably would've made a little $200 to pay a bill if I sold what I purchased at 7k.[/SUB]

[SUB]Would be great to hold long term. But trying to come up on what ever little money I can [/SUB]

. The bill establishes a digital dollar, which it defines as ‘a balance expressed as a dollar value consisting of digital ledger entries that are recorded as liabilities in the accounts of any Federal Reserve Bank or ... an electronic unit of value, redeemable by an eligible financial institution (as determined by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System).’ Additionally, a digital dollar wallet is identified as ‘a digital wallet or account, maintained by a Federal reserve bank on behalf of any person, that represents holdings in an electronic device or service that is used to store digital dollars that may be tied to a digital or physical identity.’

this is worth about $60usd

So...

If the US actually switches to digital currency but it’s not Bitcoin...then how does that continue to make Bitcoin worth anything?

BTC's biggest value prop isn't its convenience(or lack thereof) as a medium of exchange. Its biggest value prop is that it's decentralized and decoupled from national economies that have now more than ever shown the un-sustainability of unlimited fiat printing. The sooner society understands that the better off we'll be.
