i'd suggest you go to a store and try them both out because the major difference is the tour has a trackball and the new bold has a track pad.  other than that, i think the tour is slightly bigger, but doesn't have wi-fi (at least for verizon)...

EDIT: you can compare them here http://na.blackberry.com/...s=1766&products=1667

Depending on the carrier u have I have the tour and I love it but its the best blackberry for sprint if I had tmobile or att I would have the bold because its got a faster processor so browsing the internet is a better experience I don't need wifi never used when I had a phone with it

I just scooped one about 2-3 weeks ago, I'm under verizon also and this tour is too dope to me.
Runs really smooth and is everything I expected, I really like the "BING" app is comes with and the internet works super fast so I couldn't ask for more.

I currently have the bold 9000 and I'm due for an upgrade on Monday and thinking about getting the bold 9700.  I love my 9000, the size, the grip when I talk, and keyboard I guess its been asked before but how is the transaction from 9000 to 9700

Im due for upgrading in Oct, any news on new BB's
and my employee discount will be coming in handy 28% off my bill and 25% off accessaries

My verizon store needed to order one for me so they should deliver it in a couple of days. I can't wait.

Love mine as well.

I hate asking this question...but I kinda gotta know...

so...I've been doing a lot of thinking as a member of team blackberry but its hitting me that a lot of the appeal of the phone is disappearing...the iPhone has push email and without BBM, blackberry would NOT be what it is today...

For those of you that have owned an iPhone or are thinking of going back to it...are you happy with your decision? I know BlackBerry's are known for their workhorse like appeal and reliability but I know for a fact that when it comes from background apps, on my blackberry I rarely have more than one thing open out of habit of keeping my phone running fast. There are the obvious things like tactile keyboard and connectivity that works more often than not but I just wonder how iPhone users are liking their experiences and how tempted they are to stay with Apple or move on to another brand... As a verizon user, Ive really been contemplating this next move in terms of my mobile phone usage...

NT...drop knowledge.

^ I'm about to switch from my 3G to a 9700. The constant griminess of a touchscreen's display combined with the ridiculously bad battery life has me tired of the iPhone. Also, while the mobile browser is awesome on the iPhone, I find that clicking links that are close together is a pain with your finger. You really have to zoom in (for example, when I'm viewing a thread on NT, I can't click which page I want to jump to unless I zoom RIGHT in).

Honestly man, I think that it's normal to get bored with your phone after a few months...hell, this past year alone I've owned the Tour, the Bold 9700, the 3Gs and an HTC Hero

...at the end of the day I find myself coming back to the world of BB just because it works for me. I don't think any smartphone comes close when it comes to battery life, and the other phones may have more apps but I find that 99% of them are just plain stupid.

is your OS upgraded to 5.0?
if you add someone correctly, the other person has to accept on their end.

Hey you guys i got a question for yall. imlookin to do somecool things to my blackberry, my version is the 8350i... yeah the nextel one... i work construction and i need a durable phone.... Anyways, can you guys assist me on finding some themes for it?

After breaking my Bold last month and having to use an iphone for a month, I'm convinced that the BB is superior to the iphone. I will never ever ever buy a touchscreen only phone.
