Best Gates interviews were with DJ Vlad and the Combat Jack show. Dude knows most people are gonna ask him stupid questions so he just talks over them, gets his point accross and moves on.

I agree, he's a little off, but I think most of the stuff he says is true.

People say something to that affect about A LOT of producers though...

So he doesnt write songs either? I wasn't talking about producing per se. His name never gets mentioned for anything ever...

dudes just love ignorance at all times in my opinion. It's like anytime someone decides not to feed into foolishness it always taken as why he so serious or look at this fake smart ***** etc etc. It worries me at times, and a lot of people have been bringing attention to it in hiphop lately. All rappers aren't stupid and A lot of them go through everyday struggles and real life situations like anybody else.

But he says he gives almost the same interview every time. So it's not like it's a big secret.

I don't think its not genuine, I think most people ask the same stuff. How'd you get in the game, women, eating booty, life before rap, *whatever current event is going on*, etc. I'd give scripted answers too.

He stated in the combat jack interview that he gives the same answers because theirs only one truth. The man feels strongly about what he believes in and stands by them, so he makes them evident every single time.

Also his combat jack interview and breakfast club interviews are night and day, simply because combat jack takes his interviews like convos and allows people to go different places. The same thing could be said for damn near any artist who's doing radio runs, it's gonna be the same answers because its the same question day after day after day.

I don't understand what it is about having the same answers everytime someone asks you the same question, that can be categorized as fake? all of those things you mentioned are a big part of his life why would he not mention those things in an interview that is exposing him to people who may not know him.
