Better yet, to be 100% sure...when you can, pick up a multi-meter oscope and use this guide

get the tones here

I wouldn't.

the cz is a step down, but they're both good decks. the 994 is probably the best bang for buck right now. Alpine 9887 too if you can find one.

GIANT difference. JFDOOM seems like he's NT's car audio adviser, so maybe he'll lend out his

You can google "gain calculator" if you want to do it with a DMM. But most here should just do it by ear.

DMMs, H/O alts, expensive equipment, most people in this thread aren't gonna want or even need that level of equipment smh. This is NT, not SSA

I can put a setup together, but you will have to set aside a second budget for sound deadening and electrical upgrades.
That should be alright...  How much more you think I needa put aside?

Here

Get this..i'll make it a lil more simple

Pioneer p4300 $399
http://www.sonicelectroni...ioneer-AVH-P4300DVD.html

Image dynamics cxs62 $359
http://www.woofersetc.com...hm-component-system.aspx

Crescendo 1000c4 250 x 2 @ 2 + 500 x 1 @ 4 $239
http://www.crescendoaudio...duct.php?productid=17516

Sundown sa-15 $234
http://www.woofersetc.com...sa-series-subwoofer.aspx

$1231

That leaves you enough for box, battery, misc interconnects, and some light deadening

Any Altima users have or heard about the JL audio Stealth box? I was thinking about getting it. Dont want a huge box in the back, and not really interested in taking out the factory radio or speakers. Seems that this would put just the right amount of kick that I need. Thoughts?

What do you think about a Kenwood DNX5120? I can get it cheap for around $325. It's got Navi built in unlike the other one I posted.

Hey audio heads, i have a 09 RAV4......i used to have major knock (2 15 kicker crv) in the trunk of my old car but for this one, i just want some little knock and connections to my ipod. any ideas??

does the head unit come with navigation functionality out the box or do you have to buy it on top of that?

EDIT:
I was reading some reviews and found these: http://www.woofersetc.com/p-6952-rsd65cs-p...ker-system.aspx

supposedly theyre crazy bang for your buck. When you buy the set Im assuming its 2 of em right? I could cop two sets if thats 4 speakers and tweeters and throw em in the front doors and rear deck. Thatd leave me plenty money for the HU, subs and amp plus my blown speaker in the back would be gettin replaced too

Nah, no nav. 99% of us have gps on our phones anyway. Paying a premium to get it in a HU is a waste.

The rsd's are cool, but the id's are worlds better. You only need 1 pair of speakers for the front. Rears are not needed.

Lightsout, the 5120 is aight. kinda dated, but it should work well if that's what you want.

just bought this

and It's a powered sub with amp already in it but I still think I'm going to try to save up for a separate amp eventually but I was just looking for lil more bass then what my stock was...I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy btw...but will the bass be decent with just a new stereo and the powered sub??? sorry for the horrible sentences. I haven't been asleep in 2 days
