NL Hold 'Em here. Most recently played 1/2 at Caesar's for my birthday. Came out +225.
Doubled up on K/4 off, top pair on the flop. Other player stone cold bluffed. I shoved.
Lost a big hand 9/9 to K/8 off.
Also play at Parx and Sands.
Everyone rooting for JC in the NN?
been playin there as well past week, up a couple grand...
Played at MD Live a few times now. First time playing live.
It goes from a game of skill to being just a game of patience when you go from online to live. The stories of how bad people are is true.
Up ~700 in my 3 trips there. Played 1/2 twice and 2/5 once.
The three times I've went have always been on the weekdays, usually in the afternoon. Sometimes 2 pm, sometimes 7. I thought it would be harder when I went at 2 since people haven't gotten off work and stuff, so maybe more regulars, but the players have sucked each time regardless of when I went. 2/5 players are a little better but not by much.been playin there as well past week, up a couple grand...

i think i ran into either some really good players yesterday or some spazes...
what time do you usually play up there?
been playing 1/2... you want the easy games obviously. Maybe if I build up my roll I can move up.The three times I've went have always been on the weekdays, usually in the afternoon. I'm guessing 5/10 players are probably good though... you ever play that high?
i don't understand how anyone can play anything besides poker...and maybe blackjack (if you can count cards). all that other mess is straight gambling.
isn't it fun to win money though?I play because I enjoy the experience. I never play trying to win money and most of the time I know when to walk awayi don't understand how anyone can play anything besides poker...and maybe blackjack (if you can count cards). all that other mess is straight gambling.
first day I played live I lost money just because of the adjustment, fumbling chips..betting wrong. Not knowing whats going on...I'm itching to get back into poker but never done live before.
you have to mix it up, limp in with some decent connected hands and face cards every once in a while...see a few flops and try to steal a few. I you only play big cards people will know that you're betting big cards...but if you are willing to play with mediocre hands they'll pay you off more on your big hands.Patience is a major factor in 1/2 cash games.
I shoved, overcompensated with 9/9 in a cold deck. Played $100 for two hours. Second best hand I saw was 7/7.
