Official Celtics VS. Knicks Sweep...Knicks=Embarrassment...

Knicks haven't really played their best ball either, but this is how the playoffs are.

This has been a surprisingly defensive series, both teams are busting their $%!$$ off.

Celtics have shown their age this series imo though, not having Perkins out there really shows their vulnerability up front.

we have yet to see the C's play their best basketball of the series.
do people think they have an 'A game' left in them, though?

not like the Knicks went in and played great basketball these past 2 games. If this turns out to be a series again, it's a LOT less about the Knicks and more about how average the Celtics currently are. To me, that's the story of the first 2 games.

I know someone earlier said the Celtics always struggle in Round 1...not like this at home. Only 1 game between the series with Atlanta and Miami was within single digits in Boston. Chicago series, KG wasn't playing.

Roger Mason, Bill Walker and Jeffries were on the floor at times together last night and the Celtics couldn't pull away.

Perkins trade was just downright terrible. Jeff Green is terrible and he can't find his role & Kristic can't/won't play this time of year.

I'm pretty sure I heard Marv say that a verbal TO is acceptable as well in the playoffs. Think he said it around the time when KG was yelling for one before Walker managed to get a jump ball out of a scuffle.

That's the million-dollar question....no one knows and maybe this current C's team is playing their best basketball.  However, if they have some sort of an explosion and totally lockdown the Knicks on defense, I dunno how surprised I'd be.  I'd like to think that they haven't played their bestbasketball yet....

Speaking of Perkins....what was their best stretch they had during the regular season when he was injured?  Maybe that's the C's team that everyone is waiting for.  Perk, for as good as he was on the Celtics, wasn't a part of the majority of the games that they played this season....

That's why the Perkins thing is not really that big a deal IMO. Sure, you lose him against the Magic and Bulls and that's a big deal but this team still goes as Rondo does. Once he became afraid to shoot and drive to the basket, they became average. Once he found that, they started winning again.

They did have Shaq at times, though. He is still their key, without him...they have nobody who can score with their back to the basket and turn into strictly a jump shooting team. Not that he's a great rebounder at this point, but without him it gets even worse. at least can clear some space in his 20 minutes.

Don't think the Perkins trade helped with chemistry, you got two guys coming in who are walking on eggshells and the rest of the team suddenly doesn't look so tough.

For this Knicks team to shoot 35% and be one stop away from winning a game...you have issues. the Knicks never have any business winning a game when they can't score.

The Celtics started the season 33-10 without him.

Of course that was with a healthy Shaq in his place.

I think the emotional void of Perkins is just as important as his physical play that's no longer there.

He wasn't playing and they started very well, but he was at least with the team...

knicks haven't even had their starters physically able to finish a game. so you tell me if the knicks played their A game?

melo and 4 bums almost beat the celtics. the knicks out rebounded the hell out of them too. celtics aren't winning a thing this year. heat will destroy them.
Chris Bosh returns after tweaking back
Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Add Chris Bosh to the Miami Heat's growing injury list.
HEAT INDEX
We've taken our talents to South Beach. Check out the Heat Index.

Bosh went to the locker room because of back spasms in the first quarter against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. He returned in the second quarter.

Bosh landed awkwardly after grabbing a rebound and limped off the court holding his left hip. He was replaced by Juwan Howard.

Bosh's injury is only the latest for the Heat.

Udonis Haslem's season might be over after surgery this week to repair a torn ligament in his left foot, Mike Miller isn't expected back until after Christmas because of a broken thumb and ligament damage, Dwyane Wade has been playing through a sprained left wrist, and LeBron James has been dealing with a shin problem for a couple weeks.
