OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

In the center of the first issue, there's an Atom mini comic. I have to read it again, but I think Lara brings the jar with the shrunken Kandorians to Ray and Baal asks him if he's able to bring them back. Quar destroyed the jar thing. I can't remember if there were more Kandorians in it who didn't follow him or he just wanted to destroy their former prison.

I'm actually digging DKIII. I don't think it's been that popular because DKII wasn't the best and people don't want them to do anything more with The Dark Knight Returns because of it's classic status. I think issue 5 is this week. I have no idea how Batman is going to handle these guys, especially after how easily they wrecked Supes and Flash.

Yeah I have 1-3 and read the Atom comic. Just mad confusing but that makes since about Kandorians. Seems like Baal betrayed Atom.

Yeah I noticed...#2 had a bunch of Stans on there. I'm going to try to hang in there with it.

Tilda was wearing the Kobe Crazy 8's last issue too. :lol

I agree on the comic. It's not that great. I'm probably going to drop it.

They let you read them at the shop?

One of the places saw me skimming through a book, they came out the woodwork asking if I needed help or was purchasing it. :lol

My shop bags and boards all the new releases and they shrink wrap a lot of the trades. I saw an old man take a new comic out of a bag once, but I don't think they condone that. :lol

who the f does that??

what do they think people are going to come from far and wide to stand in a comic shop and read?

I been going for some time, so I'm cool with most of the employees. But even so if you buy something they'll let you read stuff too. They are super chill there.

I be in Barnes and Noble every week and see people damn near reading the whole book cover to cover without paying

They'll buy a drink from the Starbucks and then chill all day

*guilty* :o

The goth/emo kids will also sit Indian style on the floor near the comics/manga section and hang out all day

My local spot used to let me sit on the floor and spend hours reading and skim through their $1 boxes. I'm talking about 9 long storage boxes fully stocked, lol. They always left me alone and even came around to hand me more books to toss in there, they were awesome. The sad part is they left the business since he was retiring. Anyways, their boxes always had vintage gems like when I found an 80's Wolverine #1

I haven't been to other stores because I know they'll probably let me down but I've found a few locations I'm interested in.

Word B&N is like an unofficial library the way I see ppl laying on the floor reading.

Comic shop employees steady follow me cuz I'm black so I don't bother with Byrne reading unless it's my local one that is somewhat cool with it.

When I was in college I used to chill in B&N during my breaks and read comics.

Section used to be full of people just chilling and we all would just sit there read and talk ****

Seems like I'm the only one keep asking questions :lol

I'm finding my heart back into comics again. Mostly DC and the Civil War II series.

With that being said, I managed to pick up the Extordinary X-Men #1 Hip-Hop issue (De La Soul cover)

I noticed they stated that Cyclops murdered massive set of people...How and What happened? Fill me in on what's going on with the X-Men. Also what core issues I need to read on this.[\spoiler]

So the end of the last series of uncanny xmen sets it up but I dont remember seeing what goes down. It's still like a mystery on that event. It been mention in inhumans and every xmen series. So hopefully they explain it more.

This might spoil a little of issue 2
Heres a better explanation

It's really crazy how things have been turned around :lol Wolverine used to be the outsider, the guy who caused problems and never fit in. Over the past few years however he's come to be a valued ally to numerous different heroes through his work with various teams, a leader and teacher for the Mutant population, and his death became a tragic blow to them. Meanwhile, Cyclops has become an outcast, with many of his former and oldest friends coming to hate him, leading a controversial revolution/movement, hunted by many, and apparently dying in disgrace. Just goes to show that every now and again the status quo really can change.

It's the most interesting Cyclops has ever been imo :lol

And the sad thing, I believe he was right. Avengers vs X-Men was a turning point for him in my eyes. He pulled out the "Where were the Avengers when Genosha was being destroyed." Had the :eek face

I mean he was right about some things but he went about it all wrong :lol

I also think he's completely wrong about his child soldier stance. Its clear to me dude is off his rocker and unlike Magneto won't be able to bounce back from it well.

I assume the Death of X event this fall will reveal he went fully insane killed a bunch of innocent inhumans cuz of the t-mist and m-pox stuff when the fault lies on 2 or 3 inhumans and Thanos.

Picked up the #2 Extraodinary X-Men as recommended. I see they're up to 11 and I spoke with someone. They said it still not revealed. Da hell?

Picked up the 2nd print of Rebirth for Batman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Superman.

Also DKIII Master Race Book Five. I'm really enjoying this one.

Oh absolutely.
He pulled out the "Where were the Avengers when Genosha was being destroyed." Had the :eek face

While I didn't enjoy the event as a whole, that was the diamond in the rough, being an obvious flaw that existed within the Marvel Universe for years but was never actually confronted. Really the Avengers as a whole, despite coming into contact with various X-Men and working alongside some, never did enough to help Mutants considering the widespread hate that was thrown their way and the numerous disastrous events they had to deal with.

I really enjoyed that read, AvX, tho I copped the avengers variants I sided with Xmen. The Phoenix 5 was dope IMO. Namor and cyclops went crazy. That was all my man Iron Mans fault always thinking tech could resolve issues. It wasnt CW good but I thought it was pretty good. Maybe because that was the first series I actually collected and completed. Lol

Marvel needs to "Rebirth" the X-Men badly. I doubt that will happen with this next crossover featuring a new Inhuman who's going to have their own ongoing. |I

There was nothing new for Rebirth today, just some annuals. Those Rebirth one shot reprints were buggin me out with the bright orange. For some reason I thought Hal Jordan #1 came out today. Not really liking Green Lanterns. Gonna drop that series and Green Arrow too.

I want to keep buying Black Panther because it's BP and it has a black writer, but after 3 issues I don't know man. Loved Daredevil/Punisher this month though. I hope Marvel gives Blindspot his own solo in the near future.

Got DKIII too. Batman is a certified G. :hat

Which x-men they need to rebirth? They have 4 different unit running :lol

The Green Arrow and Black Canary intro was tacky as hell in the rebirth however #1 of rebirth has a whole different plot...outside of that rebirth mess. Weird.

You are right about the bright orange, weird...

That Last page with Superman and Batman in DKIII is dope. The best preper ever!
