Fusion can come back but Vegito can't. That's permanent. It would have to be Gogeta.

Make it Canon and move on with it. They couldn't create a new guy cause Gogeta has already been used twice.

I'm not entirely sure gogeta would even be the result of the fusion dance between goku and vegeta. In every canon example of both examples of fusion the first half of the "weaker" characters name is used first followed by the stronger characters name. For all we know vegito may still be the result of the fusion dance.

Well Vegito is not permanent anymore since you can just wish them to be separated using the dragon balls. Supreme Kai just did it before the last tournament

I'm not sure why I turned this into a bring back trunks vs bring back vegito, but the possibility for vegito come back is always a possibility for any arc as long as the enemy is strong enough.

I guess what I originally disagreed with was how you diminished trunks' roll. As a character (not simply based on strength) the android and cell saga literally started and ended with him and he was a HUGE part of that story because everything that surrounded his character. Which is why I think trunks coming back > vegito coming back. Trunks played a much bigger role in his time on Z than vegito did in his time. But but there's nothing stopping vegito from coming back in this arc aside from the writers, but it doesn't take much to write vegito in.

Did he really play a huge role? If he really break it down Future Trunks was a messenger and delivery boy. And you really can't just write Vegito in, everything would have to be completely FUBAR for him to be needed. Especially since they told Whis that they preferred not working together. But anyway, I'll be watching regardless.

Im not saying that vegito isn't awesome and he's not strong. But what super has been lacking is depth. People keep getting stronger and stronger but the story is still dry and simple. Trunk provides the opportunity for us to have more than just "a bad guy comes thats so strong that only fusion can save us". There used to be so much going on in the different sagas in DBZ im hoping that this gives the opportunity to do the same, I genuinely don't think vegito is enough to do it.

Finally got to watching Super last night... 

Started at Ep.32 and I totally got tricked by Frost....Good Job, Akira. 

I can see some depth and some subtle clues for the future timelines on certain scenes, which is awesome. 

They're really taking this time traveling, or, universe traveling serious and so there could be a lot of different ally and foes to come in later timeline. 

The humor has definitely got me laughing often enough. 

I like it.

I thought Mystic Gohan was the savior from Buu?

All that unlocking power to get over 9000 just to be absorbed and then they had to come up with another OMGZZZZZZORRRRRXXXX transformation to blow our minds.

Then they had to find another way to undo it.

It was pretty useless outside of that one moment.

Especially in comparison of Future Trunks who has his own story arc, movie, and a worthwhile storyline to follow. He was a useful piece to introducing a major story arc.


Not just a scapegoat transformation because they made the villain too powerful

Mystic Gohan, Gotenks, SSJ3 Goku, and Majin Vegeta were plenty enough tbh

Vegeto and Gogeta were better off being non canon movie transformations only

I loved Vegeto as a kid tho

All of this is reason on top of reason why the Buu Saga was the weakest arc in Z as far as i'm concerned Shouldn't have had to go from Gotenks to Gohan to Vegito to Goku and Vegeta at the end to wrap things up. **** was ridiculous.

Though don't get me wrong, Vegito was an awesome fusion/character and seeing him thrash Gohan Buu was so satisfying
