Just saw someone online who was just messing with potential alternatives to the knockout stage draw system which are basically the same tiebreakers used to decide who wins the groups. Points, goal difference, goals for, against, etc etc. this is what it would have been

A typical bracket-spread would then be arranged so that the (1) and (2) seeds are as far apart as possible, with the remaining teams evenly distributed to keep both "sides" of the bracket relatively balanced, in which case the bracket would shape up more like:

(1) Bayern vs (16) Dortmund
8 Chelsea vs (9) Porto
(5) Benfica vs (12) Spurs
(4) Manchester City vs (13) Milan

(6) PSG vs (11) Brugge
(3) Liverpool vs (14) Inter
(7) Real Madrid vs (10) Leipzig
(2) Napoli vs (15) Frankfurt
