Grain of salt, but the closer we get to January without a renewal the more I’m inclined to think it’s possible. Ofc if he doesn’t renew it would be stupid for prem clubs to not try swooping in and offering him a fat signing bonus that would have been near the equivalent of his market value transfer fee. So this will be an interesting contract situation to watch.
 
i remember florentino ran a whole campaign against barca about tapping up players on contract because neymar came to barcelona. now madrid’s whole transfer strategy is tapping up players.

it must be nice to control the narrative
