I think he told them in case he died before the books were done. Not sure he would allow the show to spoil the story if he's still writing. If that did happen i'd stop watching the show.

I know this old **** is either gonna croak as he writes the 7th book or as soon as it's published. He's gonna be 66 if he finishes the 6th book by early next year...67 if he finishes it after September
