Drogon burning the iron throne for some kind of symbolism was cringe.

Season 8 was basically a sellout made for the masses commercial movie.

It had it's moments tho.
Super cringe. They even went as far as for Drogon to look like he's about to roast Jon, then turn his aim to the throne at the last second.

I think this show became a lot more popular than they expected. When it got this big, they clearly shifted toward cliches and fan service. Between them losing source material, and it becoming the biggest show on TV, the shows tone completely shifted from dark and bleak to plain blockbuster movie hype.

jon over there looking stupid when he should have been cheering dany on considering what they did to ned stark.
so its cool for the ppl in kl to cheer for heinous stuff, cool for cersei to do what she did, Joffrey, etc.
but not ok for dany to feel a certain way despite what she's been through?
not ok for greyworm and crew to do what they did?
oh ok.

When is burning kids running for their lives cool? The city was already defeated and lost. her wanting to rule a bunch of ruins and dead people is ok with her i guess.

its cool when they dont flee when given the chance

or fight their oppressors

and it wouldnt stay ruined forever but destroyed and rebuilt even better

Bran - The Ruler of the Six Kingdoms
Sansa - The Queen in the North
Jon - Unofficially Leader in the NORTH in black mode
Arya - About to take over the west

This is what I didn't want to happen to be quite honest; all the Stark's prevailing. It makes sense given the damage they faced as a fam for years, but it was just this predicted finish IMO.

I'd love to see the sacking of Kings Landing and the actual aftermath in book form.

There was so much more story to tell.

Honestly I was expecting such a bad ending that it exceeded my expectations. I wasn't really mad at anything outside of Jon being sent back to the Night's Watch. So many little things didn't really make sense, but the overall ending of the Stark's archs didn't bother me much.

sansa was raped after being forced into marriage
cersei slept with her own brother multiple times and mothered children back to back to back by him
while cheating on the king
they chopped ned stark's head off and put it on a spear/spike or whatever
they made a zombie soldier
etc. etc.

ppl talk about they want a revolution for the oppressed...but then don't have the stomach for dany burning down the oppressors.
yikes.

I mean, what would have constituted a satisfying ending

Jon being king?
jon not killing dany because Tyrion and others got into his head.
jon not being a pawn thrown away in the last episode after being built up to be greater than most and the rightful king
dany not doing all of that for nothing
greyworm and crew not getting castrated twice
greyworm's girl not getting her head chopped off for nothing
etc. etc.
we haven't even talked about the white walkers
bran
the golden army
etc.

Dany isn’t any different from Cersei except for she’s not as outwardly evil. She’ll still burn you if you don’t agree with her.

As Tyrion said, dany pretty much killed an entire city. Lena headey just had a naturally evil demeanor so we equate everything Cersei does as bad

she didnt kill all the masters because they lobbied to open the fighting pits again

remember the whole sons of the harpy story where she had to run for her life?

not reaching at all maybe you dont wanna see it but its not a reach because you blind to it

Once again, how exactly has Dany been enforcing her no slaves rule while for the past seasons she been on this side of the world with both her armies and 3 dragons...or was she making her rounds back every other week to make sure slavery was done? Bruh stop reaching...the show isn’t that deep.

In all reality Tyrion is ruling the Six Kingdoms & Bran is just the poster boy. Tyrion built out the crew & Bran is like "This works for me. I'm going to find Drogon, brb".

them ppl know she can return

now that shes dead whats to stop them from reigniting civil war?

they not fighting dragons anymore just humans

the moment bran said what he said
EVERYONE should have given him the side eye.
sansa being queen of the north...EH...
right back in the same spot of shady ppl that can't be trusted that move like snakes controlling everything.

and the one person that would have broken all of that was killed when one of these snakes got into jon snow's head.
and now he's banished and out in the cold.
WACK.

so again, all of that for nothing.
haven't even talked about arya like that but what in the world did she train for.
where are the masks?

greyworm should have kicked brans chair over.

I don’t blame you

cersei blew up a church

Yeah because those citizens were the real bad guys who deserved to die horrible deaths. What the hell are you even blabbing about? dany went after those people instead of actually going after cersei who she didn’t even know what happened to.
