Yeah, but burning people or killing them doesn’t mean someone has the potential to go crazy. Most of the main characters would have their “mad” moments then.

I don't have a problem with her turning "Mad"...my problem was with how quickly and the way it was done.

Ramsey has definitely been referred to as a “mad dog.”
Hell, his own father alluded to it in the show.
And where the hell did anyone say because she wanted to “break monarchy” (which she DIDN’T because being a queen is a monarch) she’s “mad?”
i agree
cersei ramsey tywin have all committed atrocities but no one labeled them "mad"
if killing "innocents" is all it took then why isnt arya mad for taking the girls face who she killed walder with?
that girl didnt kill her family
jon and olly
ned and the nightswatchman
but because dany wanted to break monarchy she mad
definitely guy
Nah, you lost.
Hail Bran the Broken, long may he reign.
I think what they was trying to portray was that Dany was breaking one monarchy to just replace it with another....Sounded like she was talking about world domination to me during that Victory speech to me. Which if that's the case, then that is the exact opposite of how her behaved the previous 7 seasons. That's my problem, if you're going to make her mad go all in. Don't kill jorah, the two runt dragons, and Missandei and now claim she's been pushed off the deep end. I guess you can throw the whole Jon nephew/lover thing into the equation as well but that still doesn't tip the scale enough for me to go "Yup she's justified in being Mad".
Nah they actually gave me a correct on “No One” sitting on the Iron Throne today
been asking people all week...
what's your GOAT show?

Ramsey is questionable, i think if he had a Dragon he would have done just what Dany did or worst...dude was a lunatic.
but thats my key distinction, or worse
ppl make it seem like dany was power hungry despite the numerous times she put other ppl ahead of this pseudo-insatiable quest
She put people ahead but NEVER ahead of herself, can you agree she had a God like complex at the very least? That’s NOT equality, when Jon asked her in the end, what if good people don’t like the way SHE does things, she replied saying “they don’t get to chose” does that sound like someone that wants equality or someone that wants complete control
u mean like bran? leting countless ppl die in his quest for the throne?
a god like complex is not a crime to be killed in cold blood for
bran council didnt let the people choose either?
is it better to have power in the hands of aristocrats over her?
is bronn goingn to be better for the people?
she had every reason to have a god complex after surviving a fire pit and quaithe telling her she will be queen
Stop deflecting for a second and answer the question, is simple....i never mentioned Bran or anyone else, I’m addressing Dany...
A God like complex Can corrupt and bring about exactly what we got in her, she realized she was alone but still had immense power and was unstoppable technically, did her power corrupt her?
I don’t think it’s about her being the mad queen. I think the theme of the show is that people who seek power are corrupted by it. Obtaining power had always come easy to Dany but she had several instances where it was difficult to maintain it. She learned that only two things can maintain power: love and fear. She first gained power when she gained influence over Drogo. Once he died she lost the love of the Dothraki and couldn’t maintain it through fear. Everywhere she went she tried the love approach first and resorted to fear if/when love didn’t work.
She sought the love of the people in Westeros and got it from some. She genuinely loved Jon as she did Drogo but like Drogo she tried to use that love to influence him to her advantage. Maybe consciously; maybe the thirst for power is just her nature. As she lost true allies in Westeros she believed the people would never love here there. She mentioned this at least twice. She chose fear. Period. She believed all along that she knew what was best for the people (and she may have been right), but when they did not accept her with love she forced them to with fear.
She never showed mercy to an enemy unless it helped her obtain the love she sought. She wanted to take her dragons to KL several times in season 7 but people advised her that wasn’t the way to get the people to love her. She sought to rule. Through love if possible, but through fear if not.
Throughout the show we saw those who were given a taste of power and wanted more and people who sought power become poor rulers. Robert never wanted to be king but he also didn’t care so he was a bad king but not cruel. Joffrey wanted the power all along and was cruel. Cersei didn’t even want to be queen at first. She was ruthless but everything she did was for her children until two of them were killed and the Tyrells and High Sept turned Tommen against her. Once all she had was power she’d do anything to keep it. We all know Ramsey and Euron.
Meanwhile people who were named and didn’t seek the power tended to be better: Robb, Jon, Tommen, Yara, Bran, Tyrion.
