Can someone who read the book answer these two questions with YES or NO only
1. Is the knife or object Sam has from the first men important?
2. Does Aryia end up being one if not the most interesting characters in the show?

In the scene with Jaime and Roose Bolton, I thought it was funny how Bolton paused before he said 'position'.

This episode brought the lulz.

Theons torturer asking if he was sleeping after blowing the horn :lol

Jamie saying he's failing at dinner

Grandma Tyrell and Twyin convo.

For the knife, perhaps it was a weapon that the First Men used against White Walkers?

Queen of Thorns is quickly becoming on of my favorite characters on the show.

It seems like every time I scroll down the main page, I somehow manage to see "the last post" in the book thread. :{

Is there anyway to turn that feature off? 8o right now, the last post is something about the end of the season...

Anyone else think the Theon torture scenes are pretty pointless? It's just week after week of the same thing and its leading nowhere fast. I think there was a question about how these scenes compared with the book and, not sure if spoilery, but they weren't included in the novel at all. Theon's story picks up in the novels after all this occurs and I can kind of see why now.

very very vague spoilers

because i'm confirming he's alive in later books but...

They obviously know more than we know about where his storyline is headed. If you have him just drop off the face of the earth and go into the torture next season then the audience loses that connection. It's not that the torture wasn't happening (because it was during this book) it's just that we never had any Theon chapters. I think we're meant to feel sorry for him when he progresses into the character he becomes later in the series. (Being as vague as possible)

So is Bolton sending Jamie to Kingslanding for money? As Robb's bannerman I don't think Robb would be too pleased to hear that. Also who exactly has Harrenhal at the moment? Robb's saying he'll give it to Frey while Tywin gave it to Littlefinger.

Robb holds Harrenhall.  Tywin can't give what he does not own.  His promise to Littlefinger is contingent.

Don't ask questions if you don't want spoilers but here are two responses:

Vague:

Lord Bolton is affraid that the North will lose. If he killed Jaime, Tywin Lannister might really punish him. By sending Jaime to KL, he is hedging his bets

Caution:

Roose Bolton is a mole, he is actively working for the Lannisters and when Robb is at the Wedding of Roslin and Edmure at the Twins, the Freys will ambush their guests and Lord Bolton will be the one to kill Robb

As for the matter of Harrenhall, Roose Bolton's forces are garrisoned their at the moment. If the North wins the war, Walder Frey takes possession of it. If the Iron Throne wins, Little Finger will come in and take posession of it after the war.
