Okay, I haven't really posted often in this thread but I'll go ahead and get a few words off my chest.

Firstly, I could of directed a better pit and Drogon scene than that. After years of watching Gladiator, Troy and Spartacus there is nothing more monumentally epic than the right scene done through the energy of a fighting arena. That scene should of been half the episode with a build up, an initial peak, some sort of depression, the helplessness and then epicness.

She barely closed her eyes and did that weaksauce hand hold before Drogon showed up. So anticlimatic. That should of been the scene of all scenes. Also, Drogon should of put a quick beatdown on every enemy of hers there. Showing him weak by getting speared by a few random no name V for Vendetta wannabe's doesn't do justice to what a dragon is supposed to represent in this storyline. I can even give that a minor minor pass because Drogon is only two years old or so and dragons live forever and always keep growing. Fine. But, to just ride off and leave her crew there was ridiculous. Also, the overall fighting was just so uninspired. That whole scene was an amateur version of what should of been one of the best scenes ever, television, movie or otherwise. I'll leave the CGI alone since I'm not really sure how i feel about it without watching it a 2nd time. It might of been good - but the overall negativity I felt about how the scene was done might be influencing how well the CGI was done. All I remember is that his mouth looked a little meh when he was roaring at her.

As for the rest of the episode I guess it was whatever since it is GoT. Not even showing the Bolton 20 person crew doing work was another pathetic direction they took. If Stannis is going to do something that drastic they should of showed a bit more of something dramatic to send him over such a deep edge. It's a big step from thinking crazy thoughts to doing something straight up maniacal.

Sigh.

I wish the show invested more money in the fighting coreography. lol. The fight in the collesseum could have been better.

Nonetheless, very good pre-season finale episode.

Ser Davos needs to leave Stannis. He's so power hungry he sacrificed his daughter. I couldn't follow a man like that. People who stop at nothing usually do more damage to themselves in attaining their goals...all for a god who so far has failed him.  I hope Stannis looses his army and he and his red haired witch are tortured and then burned alive.

Them screams had me in my feels.

Not sure that episode was break the Internet worthy. Hope episode 10 goes out with a bang.

On that note can't believe it's already the season finale :(

Was kind of surprised to see Stannis' wife end up resisting the sacrifice. Too bad it took her getting burned alive for her to realize she really cared for her daughter. :( :{

King Stannis is not power hungry, he's not chaotic.

As he said "I'm not the ruler people want, I'm the ruler people need" and it's true

he's doing what needs to be done in order to win a war, he put his faith in to a woman who puts her faith in to their god.

sacrifices are used for every religion in this story. someone had to die for something else in this story.

All will be forgiven if he goes in and saves Sansa though.

Could someone remind me who that pedophile at the brothel previously did to arya? Someone earlier mentioned he was on her list, but I can't remember for what. He looks like one of the guys the hound beat up at the restaurant last season.

Somebody else brought up a good point in here. Stannis deserves the throne but he's gone about it the absolute worst possible way. Should have sided with the starks and let his brother become king. Joined forces to defeat the lannisters, and THEN offed his brother with the shadow baby. He would have been sitting on the throne in a much easier, less debatable way. SHOOOOOOOT he didnt eem have to use a shadow baby, Robert and Joffrey were both dethroned by DRINKING FREAKING WINE!!!

"Stannis is a commander. He's led men into war, twice. He destroyed the Greyjoy fleet." – Eddard Stark
"Yes he's a good soldier, everyone knows that. So was Robert. Tell me something, do you still believe good soldiers make good kings?" – Renly Baratheon

Said it best in season 1. I rocked with Stannis a bit this season, but now I finally realize that what Renly said was 100% accurate.........

i beleive she is also being accused of conspiring to kill King Robert as well.

Anyway, she is being accused of incest with Lancel, not Jamie
