No he's from Flea Bottom just like Bronn, worst slums in King's Landing where everyday survival is a struggle and the best you can hope for to eat in food is Brown Brown. He had to go the smuggler route to get out the hood and Bronn had to go the sellsword route to move up from the bottom

So now that Myrcella is dead and Cersei and Jamie's fight seems to be with the High Septon, is there any real importance to the Dorne story? (Aside from how nice Tyene's boobs are), I don't think it adds anything to the show. Just don't see how it really fits in with the bigger picture. But maybe I'm missing something.

Walter Frey is not the butchering of a name.
It's literally misspelled by one letter that's almost indistinguishable by sound if you've never seen the name spelled before, which most people haven't.
