I admit that it was wrong of me to say that wasn't the time for it happen. I'm not trying to defend Lacob at all. If it's coming across that way, then I'm sorry.
I just don't like the way crowd handled it, and Lacob definitely shouldn't have went last.

although it seems most are disgusted with how the fans at the game reacted, I think Lacob should have expected it to happen...everyone around the league knows how passionate we are as fans, and this was really the first time Lacob showed himself to the fans, where they had a chance to actually voice their opinions (social media doesnt count, because in reality they dont read any of those comments)...i agree 100% in the fact that it should have been Mullin's night, BUT why would you speak last knowing that 5 days earlier you traded the most beloved player on your team...it was bad timing, and not the place for Lacob to speak out to the fans...i understand it was a ceremony to celebrate the career of one of the greatest warriors and pure shooters of all time, but the timing of Lacob speaking out on his behalf was just bad...
On another note, I wanted to make a quick point (if it has not already been made) about Monta...I think a lot of people overlook and under value him as a player...ppl tend to forget that he spent the last couple of years playing with a bunch of guys from the D-league and had no real help...I am not or never will say him and Kobe are on the same level, but even Kobe couldnt win with a bunch of Dleaguers, when he led the league in scoring which then they went to the lottery and were lucky enough to snag Bynum and then were able to get Pau via at the time seemed like trade rape(getting anyone relevant for kwame to me is trade rape)...
what about Westbrook...if you took westbrook off the Thunder and put him one the Ws instead of Monta, how much better are we? if the Thunder didnt have say perkins or even ibaka, do they trade Westbrook for Bogut? i bring up Westbrook, bc he is an undersized explosive score first guard (you can say they arent the same because Monta is labeled as a shooting guard, but Monta I believe averages more assists than him, and doesnt play with arguably the leagues best scorer)...maybe if STEPH was healthy, we would be in contention with the 7th or 8th seed and are a blocking/rebounding center away from being even better...getting bogut say if hes healthy as well as maybe 2 first round picks makes us a contender to be NBA champs now?
i watch as much as i can, and am a die hard fan just like all you all and will have to live with the decisions that the brass makes, but i just wanted to rant about Monta and hope that people realize that hes not the main reason why we were so bad and that we have a reason to be sad and are not "idiots who dont watch or understand the game"

When Lacob said on the radio today that we might trade for our pick back, I almost lost it. This dude's arrogance pisses me off. I love, love, LOVE that he has a strong desire to win.....but he needs to leave the basketball decisions to the basketball minds.
