OFFICIAL HOCKEY THREAD: NHL, KHL, NCAA, IIHL

I'm definitely not placing Ry over Henrik, Quick, Rask, Rinne.

I suppose an argument could be made for the 5 spot over Bobrovsky, Niemi, etc.

I remember the days Kipper and Cam Ward were actually good.

J's: You wouldn't think twice about solidifying King Henrik as #1 over Quick (or Rask)?

Without a question.

Has had a few good chances, needs to just relax a bit more and do what he did in the pre-season. Needless to say, he's been loving every minute of his young career thus far :smokin
Hope everything's good with you DJ's!

Big game on saturday for Wilson....will either help to keep him in DC, or he'll be back in the OHL.

Personally, I think he's going back to London. Gave him a taste of NHL action, but he's not going to be able to flourish on the 4th line. Next year, he'll be in the top-6. No doubt.

Everything is good on my end bro...I'll let you know when I get ready to head up to T-dot. :hat

Flyers got cooked once again can't score. Need to get there **** together other than that though good game

^absolutely absurd this year out problems have flipped completely were getting very strong goaltending now dudes can't score goals smh and it's sooooo frustrating bcc very game is a one goal or down to the wire contest not like we're getting blown out. Ugh, still have faith we turn it around after this week long break really wanted this game though

Simmonds was their only scprong chance tonight. Giroux sux now

Also n regaurds to the goalie talk. Anti niemi is top 5

Buffalo...11 goals in 9 games so far :x

BTW, Devils ******g suck so far :lol I thought they'd be able to muster more offense than this...and whenever they do, Marty or Corey blow it :lol

Caps informed tom wilson that he's staying with them for the season

an interesting theory, goalie training, and performance has only recently gotten sophisticated, and golies play way more and practice way more than they ever did before, back in the day they got a guy with good vision and reflexes and put him in net and told him to stop pucks, barley any teams had goalie coaches.

now kids are getting drilled butterfly style goalie from the time they are like 10, doctors have taken x-rays of kids hips and they are deteriorating way faster than ever. 20 running around with 40 year old joints.

could this be the reason that, great goaltenders of this era, Lugongo, Ryan Miller are deteriorating way faster than ever before?

they are probably the first generation to really grow up with, sophisticated goalie training, and excessive practice times.

Nice comeback win for the Jets over St. Louis tonight, but thoughts are with Jacob Trouba who was taken off on a stretcher after going head first into the boards :x it did not look good

Always HATED the boy, but now the boy is the man
Mu****a, I don GROWD UP

19 year old defenseman playin 28 minutes in a one goal game.

That Seth Jones slide to number 4 looks dumber and dumber everyday, might end up as a Diagle/Pronger. :{ :lol

One change that should help now are the box pads that fully rotate. Going into a butterfly feels like heaven compared to 8-10 years ago when I would actually have to contort my knees/hips into a butterfly position. I'm sure doing full butterfly for years isn't good but definitely has to be less stress on joints than previously

After thinking about it it with my family, I've decided to retire as a player and move on to a new chapter. Thank you all for your support.
Think it has more to do with the bad start more than his family?

I think they've been talking about this since he broke his collarbone a couple years ago. I'm sure the bad start helped but he's had one foot out the door for a bit.
