He said it was obvious not after that scene but after the entire ep.

There's no way after the bomb in the road went off somebody could say it's obvious the CIA is trying to kill Carrie

Matter of fact he specifically says I thought it was obvious that the name Quinn decoded was Carrie's last name Mathison. Nobody ever says it's obvious the CIA is behind the bombing. However, by the end of the ep you can form a theory that they were behind that if you connect the two scenes.

even after the ep i still dont see how you could definitively say the cia was behind it (the car bombing/suicide vest)

it seem like a two prong attack like what nazir was planning in s1

the vest guy blows up the philanthropist, and then when carrie goes to make her escape she gets blown up in the car

even still, the idea that she has made enemies within the terrorist ranks as the "drone queen" to me is more plausible than to say the cia would kill innocents just to kill one of their former own

I thought it was obvious that the name on the list was Mathison, esp. with the scene before with the guy telling Carrie someone wants her dead.

Now isn't it obvious what he's saying he thinks is obvious in this quote?

I mean I wasn't paying attention to the name he was decoded so I know why it wasn't obvious to me. At the end I wasn't even caring so much what the name was. I was admiring this old school war tactic with decoding **** through ads in the paper.

If there was a scene where they straight up showed the last name almost finished for a long duration I can see someone saying isn't this obvious.

i thought dude was tryin to say that its obvious after that attack failed that quinn got the order

Actually, that was what crossed my mind... after we found out that Carrie was the target (that the Hezbollah was bribed with more money to take her out) and seeing Quinn's next target... MATHISO... my assumption was that the CIA (covertly) were the ones who had Hezbollah plant the bomb at the refugee camp and that they probably wanted to kill the rich-boss in the process to make it seem like he was the primary target.  

After that failed, they looked to Quinn... 

I dunno, but that's how it came together for me.

Forget allow, if they're behind it Saul is probably the one that gave the okay. I mean he's the one still in Germany putting the names in the mailbox for Quinn.

I think so too. 

That Journalist has put them in a really bad spot with those leaked documents and we saw already, the backlash it's caused. 

If they believe she leaked the docs, she should be so lucky to get a quick death because as we see,  they will murk her with out a second thought. It's just a life to them.

lowkey think Saul will pull his hit back but someone else will still try to take her out. No way they're gonna feed us this so early in the season. I also thought Quinn was gonna do all his work in Germany. 

Now that I think about it I bet Saul thinks Carrie is going to come back to Germany. The suicide bomber wasn't doing it for the CIA.

Thanks! Jeez, the way the two scenes were connected and the first two letters appeared.. he didn't have to finish the whole name to give out that the next hit was on Carrie. I'm not sure who was behind the first attempt to kill Carrie, but obviously something is up. I don't think it's Saul calling for it - doesn't really seem like it's something he'd do with all the history they have together, maybe Dar Adal .

So we go back to that well of Carrie going off her meds to solve the case or get an ephiphany This time about who is trying to kill her and the only thing we get out of it is her hallucinating ppl she got killed and feeling really guilty cuz she decided to do this with the poor man's Brody

This ep made it clear who wants Carrie dead. Whole thing started and Carrie was on everybody's mind.

@ Saul actually smashing this chick the whole time. Guess he cheating or finally broke up with his wife.

Don't know why but I don't like this Turkish hacker dude and never liked this annoying journalist chick. Hoping they get killed.

@ Carrie shooting Quinn, him surviving, disappearing, and appearing behind her to choke her out. They went above and beyond to make dude badass there. Carrie could've easily took his head off if she didn't want to see who had came after her.

He doesn't even know that his mate swapped the documents for a virus, and then sold them.

The reporter thinks he crashed her system, and the think he helped the reporter, that's messed up.

His friend seemed like a wanker from jump though.

When she said the # for how many ppl she was responsible for killing just cuz of her jobs as station chief in a few places I was like She's a veteran at killing.

Knew dude wouldn't be able to ride it out.

- CIA gets hacked and some documents leaked by an online journalist involving the German gov't.

- A lot of ppl or just one want Carrie dead.

That's basically it so far. This season is really like starting over and obviously a farther away take from the strong start from S1.
