Hey yall, Ive had my 3G jailbroken for a few days on 3.0 now but my cydia is refusing to load up.

Is that happening to anyone else??

i have the new 3G S, no plans to jailbreak it, at least not yet.

but i'm wondering, can you use mp3's to make your own ringtones?

i know you can use songs purchased on itunes for an additional $0.99, but can you use tracks you haven't purchased?

if not, can you record music through the voice memo, and make that a ringtone somehow?

thanx, i'm just new to iphones, and smart phones in general, this iphone i bought friday is my first.

there's "convert id3 tags", "make mp3 version", and "make ringtone", but not aac (and the ringtone option doesn't work).

Just select CREATE ACC VERSION

Just go here. http://audiko.net/

Upload and edit your own ringtone, or download one of the many already uploaded by others. Then just add it to your iTunes, and drag it to the ringtonessection when you sync your iPhone.

Also those who upgraded to 3.0 and have Tmobile, does MMS work? I'm currently using SwirlyMMS but if I can use the 3.0 version I rather do it than.

P.S. Also copped me 2 LRG Monster iPhone pouches this weekend, total was $16

maybe it's because i'm on a mac, but that's not an option on mine (and i'm on itunes 8.2).

If you have a newer version of Garage Band you can make ringtones from songs with that.
