Horace Silver - Song for My Father & Too Much Sake

RIP to a legend & one of my absolute favorites... from getting his start playing for Stan Getz to starting The Messangers with Art Blakey to the sound he created via hard bop... Always loved latin rhythms in my jazz & he was one of the greats to do it...

Just now heard on the radio he passed, RIP. They're playing African Queen right now

Takuya Kuroda - Green & Gold

I guess the new cats are going with the R&B sound... At least they don't sound like boney james elevator music. :rolleyes

Christian Scott - The Eraser & Paradise Found

I was listening to my iPhone on shuffle mode & this came on. Had to repeat it to listen to it again... Can't wait until his next release whenever that is. Posted another excellent track called Paradise Found.

Tuck Andress - Europa (Santana cover)

Read an interview years ago where Carlos Santana said he actually cried tears of sheer joy when he heard this cover.

Russell Malone - Jingles (ft. Christian McBride)

Great Wes Montgomery cover. Listen to McBride teach a master class on rhythm. Benny Green killing on them keys too...

Diana Krall - Let's Face The Music & Dance (live Rio)

Haven't posted her in a while. I love the intimacy in this song...

Maaaan, look how we'll dressed her band looks. Just clean & fresh to def...

You can get the podcast through ITunes. If you have an iPhone, you can DLusing the podcast app... You can't go wrong with any of Gilles Peterson's podcasts...

Awesome... you can DL the MP3 on his website too!

I'm not familiar with his mixes... surely not all jazz?

A good portion of his podcasts are jazz or jazz related. He's also got some great soul, Brazilian, & Cuban podcasts too.... All of them are good IMO....

Another Horace Silver tribute mix from BamaLoveSoul. It should be available for DL still.

Don't miss out, this s a great mix.
