imma school ya on something right now...
white gold and silver francos look exactly da same for a while because unlike yellow gold or platinum....these 2 metals are coated with Rhodium to give it that bluish metal finish....what jewelers don't tell you is it wears off in a few months....
thats why i'll never respect white gold...
. I got Game's double Game chains that have been banged up from hitting each other and there isn't a mark of yellow anywhere on them. those were made almost 6 months or more ago. we haven't rhodium'd or dipped them at all. if anything we'll polish the hell outta it and buff out the scrathes. but it's still gonna be white gold underneath.
all natural gold we get is a brownish raw gold color.
so even yellow gold francos have to get a polish once in a while to maintain a nice luster.
platinum doesn't shine as hard as white gold homey, whoever told you or wherever you read that gave you the wrong info son. platinum is much closer to silver in it's natural look.
and the yellow gold franco chain was created before there was a silver/white gold or any other franco. what the hell is you talkin about? I'm direct with the company in italy who designed the franco link. again if some of y'all forgot, we move more franco chains then any other store in the west coast and i'd like to say in the country for real.
so you think all the white gold pieces we've made need to be rhodium'd again and again after a few months? are you serious?
sometimes bro, you drop knowledge that is so off, but you ain't a jeweler ninja, so I don't get why you spit that offbeat info.
we got pieces like our crosses and stuff that we've had for years that have not lost their color. after maybe a repair or we sauder something, it'll be a little yellow but that's from fire, same with yellow gold too when we put the fire to it to fix something.
what's been new in the past couple years is that they are using a certain rhodium to dip the silver chains in so they look white gold. they could do the same with yellow gold, it's just easier on silver so when it rubs off it just has a rusty silverish look to it.
but if you do your research on rhodium, it's more expensive then gold itself homey.
you missed me with that one homey.
