Official Jordan XI Thread

I never knew Devin Booker wore those bootleg 2014 Columbia XI in college.

While I really don't care for collaborations, I never knew there was a Drake version of the XI.

F this one right here because I still haven't been able to acquire a pair despite the extra drop dates after the initial release date back in December. 🙄

Probably passing but the shape on that pair looks great. Patent not ridiculously low-cut, either. We really need a redo of the concord and black/red lows with this new shape and cut. Enough time has definitely passed.

F no to this 💩!

The mere mention or thought of this 💩 is unacceptable and idiotic! 🙄
I know most of y'all MFs do not like that low patent leather cut. No one ever wants to see those bootleg swap meet looking XI circa 2008 to 2015 in that execution again.

The facts are this, MJ debuted the XI with a lower cut patent. The following season it was a little higher, and thats what WE were able to purchase in late 1995. Certain XI retro releases went way to low. Some made it swallow the shoe. To me, they need to keep the middle ground with the 2018 and 2019 releases. 2008 to 2015 were way to thin. The Jam was way to high. They got it damn near perfect with the Concord and Playoff. Kids that got into this in the late 2000s may have a different view than kids that got into this in the mid 90s. The question compares to the Nike Air/Jumpman Air debate.

Of course the 1995 version is the best because it's the original.

But I'm going to go with the 2018 version with my choice for versions released after 1995 because it's literally the only version of the Concord XI that I've ever had in my life. I also like the fact that it was the only version to have 45 on the back to emulate the truly original version of the Concord XI if you want to get technical with it based on the fact that it was the version Michael Jordan initially wore on the court in the 1995 NBA Playoffs.

The 2006 DMP should be eliminated from this discussion because it doesn't qualify as a Concord XI version with all the small hints of purple being purged on it and replaced with other colors. And there are slight detail tweaks on it too. Why the F was it even considered based on all that?

The 2011 version will always be the worst with it looking like some swap meet bootleg shoes that fools overworked to get back in December 2011. It's still hard for me to fathom that fools really camped out for that piece of 💩 after a little over 10 years now. I'm so glad I was never interested in them.

I wouldn't know anything about the 2000 version because I never owned a pair. But I've seen positive feedback about them for several years now. And ironically, I wasn't into the Concord XI at that time. I actually ended up having interest in them sometime during the 2000s. At least I was able to address my fix for them in 2018 thankfully.

I vaguely recall that Deion Sanders wore some custom Jordan XI cleats on the football field when he played for the Washington Commanders.

But I wasn't aware that he wore some custom XI cleats on the baseball field when he played for the Reds.
