**Official Kendrick Lamar Thread 4th Studio Album ''DAMN.''Out Now**

In this era, there's nothing wrong with having an INSTANT classic. This is warranted for the times. Kendrick and J.Cole the only current mainstream artists that have the lyrical ability and song making quality.

So because it merely stands out an in watered down era, we calling things classics now? [emoji]129300[/emoji]

Speaking of Ghost, the storytelling on some if Big Doe Rehab is off the charts.

love is hella smooth. zacari can sing

is kendrick mocking a lotta these rappers with some of these flows? he does use the migos flow on some songs, in a very dope way tho. also on element he uses the asap chopped and screwed voice. how many things is this album doing to rap right now haha

also a reach, but loyalty with rihanna on a beat that kind of sounds like a 40 beat lol

kendricks a freak of nature on the mic.

Kendrick : Dont call me black no mo

Funny thing is I know exactly what he talking about and instantly recognized the video he sampled with the talk of "Africans, Natives and Latinos" being the lost tribes.

And we actually aren't black. But I'm not gonna derail this thread. Black means white. So even from the perspective of color, we are not actually "black".
I actually want to hear this, but pm me instead. Don't want to derail this thread :lol

Pm me too.

Low key feel like the candy man was a shot at jay electronica. He's known to go by and has a track called candy man.

The album almost works better as a narrative backwards.

Oh wow theyre still making physical copies lolol. I thought it was just digital and vinyls..

I know you meant CDs, but this was some poor verbiage :lol

Listened up to Duckworth, and this **** is lovely. Had to run DNA back 2-3x as others have said. Going to finish it in a bit and then run it backwards later.

Kendrick is discovering his Hebrew roots (in real life, which he mentions on the album).
That's why he says " I'm an Israelite, don't call me black no mo"
Cus being an Israelite encompasses a belief and culture.
Black is just a perceived culture and doesn't represent where he is
Spiritually and mentally. There.
