The sequencing and pacing of the album allows a song like King's Dead to work a lot better.
Good album on first listen. Paramedic, Bloody Waters, and X stand out the most so far.

I wanted to hate Future’s part bad because being a big fan of his....I wanted him to showcase his underrated lyrical ability next to Kendrick on this stage.Instead...he goes the creative route...and I hate it at first, til it grows on me

It’s a soundtrack that’s curated by him and it’s far from weak. Nobody’s claiming it’s a classic, but to claim it’s weak is weak in its own right.
