Look at the AJ XI. Greatest selling shoe of all time and the design is as simple as it gets.

XIs are far from a simple design. It may look simple with what you're used to in todays shoe like Lebrons but the XIs has a lot of details going on. Simple colorways on the XIs also helps, no crazy BHM or What The colorways.

Stan Smiths or Common Project Achilles, now those are as simple as it gets. XIs? Not so much.

XI's Silhouette is still far from simple. There is a lot going on with them too between the different materials, the outsole, midsole and overall shape.

Will reserve judgement for final pics; that icy sole makes it lose points for me tho. Hopefully that's just for this color way and all the others come correct.

Flyweave. Hoping for some type of unlocked zoom.

Kobe went for performance this time around..

My first impression is that I like them, but it's too early to judge them.

The shape looks really clean and reminds me of the 9s.

Elites could look awesome based on the GS model. Can't wait for pics of the fk elites.

Hopefully they will make elite highs again

The shape of the sole looks nice too. Better than the sole of the X's.

Only think I hate are the stitches on the left heel look bad.

They are way too dominant in my opinion.

Those are horrible.

Absolute 0/4 by Nike (well not tho be too harsh, Kyrie 2 is ok).

Of course the KB stans will love it

I really hope these are not it bc Kobe deserves better for a swan song shoe

The overall look of his low-tops continue to be strikingly similar.
You can only do so much with low tops. The 4-7 all look different, but 8-10 with the EM are pretty much the same. The eyestay on the 8 & 10 are nearly identical. The elite on the 9 & 10 are nearly the same in pattern as well.

A good percentage of Nike's sneakers are  low tops. Nike's designers are starting to get long in tooth. Time to bring in new blood.

That's a random person's concept sketch. There are couple of them.

Those are not it. Did ya'll not see the teaser of the black/green pair? Those are most likely the XI.

I'll take what's in those pics over whatever ******* shoes that sketch is threatening us with.

What's wrong with simple? Ya'll want gaudy and unnecessary? Go get your lebrons.

With these Kobes we're looking at something that can be worn everywhere. It doesn't deviate from the rest of the Kobe line. It continues to be refined. That's the Kobe. I don't know what you guys were expecting. Straps? I see the Kobes as the same design scheme as the iPhone.

This shoe is the first time we're seeing the flyknit workings through the outsole. Not to mention how beautiful the outsole is anyway. Its got a hit of Yeezys with the little vertical lines, theres no midsole to stubbornly make white, the toe box looks great, the whole thing is subtle but designed strong. It might be the perfect shoe after its all said and done, we'll see what the black ones look like.

Im over the red achilles lines though, starting to look wack af. Stitch them on the inside if they need to be there.

looks like a lifestyle shoe.
Is that Zoom Air at the forefoot, and nothing at the heel?

If so, they're departing from the Lunarlon which was the staple for the Kobe 8-10s (Zoom Air in heel of the 10s).  Don't get me wrong, I like Zoom Air cushioning, but seems odd that Nike would go back to Zoom Air (and possibly remove heel cushioning) after being the only Nike signature to have Lunarlon.

With Kobe's aging legs, it would only make sense for Nike to have a heavy cushion system in place if he does play in these.  Granted, Jordan's 17s and 18s had Zoom Air in them, but I think they were double stacked Zoom Air units, and the 18s had a Carbon Fiber plate underneath the insole for added stability.  The technology has improved since the Air Jordan 18, and you would think Nike would utilize the best systems for Kobe's legs.

Who knows... maybe these 11s will have double stacked forefoot Zoom Air AND Lunar.  Guess time will only tell...

Also, Ive never gotten used to 24. I wish he'd go back to 8 before its all over.
