Please do not get me started on Farmar. I've been watching dude since his days at UCLA. Out of all of the recent UCLA PG's (Westbrook & Collison) we got the dud when the Lakers drafted a PG late in the 1st round.

Dude has a horrible basketball IQ. I mean his 3 years with the Lakers I can count more times than I have fingers how many stupid & bone headed plays he made while games were on the line. Dude has a horrible shot selection and liked playing a uptempo offense and liked shooting more 3's than normal jumpers.

The whole time he was here he had a big head that got bigger each year he was on the Lakers. He heard all the hype he was getting about being the new starting PG when Fisher was done & retired. He was quoted saying that he viewed himself as a starting PG who he thought could be an allstar playing next to Kobe.

Also off the court dude thought he was hot shiet. Dude would host parties at clubs all over LA and hardly any celebs would show up.

I'm not entirely convinced that the Celtics didn't improve themselves today.

I know that's a stretch, but Jeff Green is a good player, and at OKC, they had him playing the PF spot, and he is NOT a PF.  He is a SF and can also play 2 if needed.  He's a lot like Lamar in that he can do a lot of things on the court, nothing great, but everything well.  (hence, Lamar being mentioned)

He now gives them a guy that will help both Paul and Ray when it comes time to face Wade/Bron.

Perkins is good, solid as hell, makes them very tough.........he's played a dozen games this year.  The Celtics are still at the top of the East, and he missed almost the whole season.  Get where I'm goin here?

Shaq will be there in April, he's on vacation right now, don't act like you have't seen it before from him.  The rest of those guys, Daniels, Harongody, Nate, none of them change that roster.  Delonte will be back, so losing Nate is no big, and Kristic can give them a body and size down low, just the same as Nate would give them another guard to use.

Perk helps OKC, no doubt, because they lack a true center.  The Celtics never even run a play for the dude, he's just there to defend and rebound, Jeff Green is a guy they can use on both offense AND defense, as well as build around along with Rondo after the 3 move along.

The Celtics did not destroy themselves at all.  They're just different is all.

Shaq
KG
Pierce
Allen
Rondo

Green
Davis
Jermaine
Wafer
Delonte

Kristic
12th dude

Bum squad, this is not.

--We arent three-peating if that Celtic team is healthy. Point blank. Real talk.
--You can throw down your logic and cool collective wisdom CP to counter and balance my doom and gloom...

--The Lakers are outmatched at every position except SG.

Leon Powe just got waived, I think he could help. Gooood to see Mamba show up last night, with that horrible start his shooting percentage was on point. Still don't like him taking 31 shots, but if its what we need to win, Im all for it.

how long has powe been rehabbing? seems like he tore his knee 2 years ago. dude is done is he can't barely walk still

All that talk about a Bynum for Melo trade (which was BS) and Boston trades Perkins for Green.

Should be interesting to see how the dynamic of the team changes.

That's the important part of this scenario. And at the end of the day, aside from getting rid of Sasha (I still feel that particular trade was pointless, just because Joe hasn't contributed anything at all. Atleast with Sasha, he irks the opponents and gives us all something to laugh about... but I do understand why they did though)

And I also think this whole hoopla is a wake up call to ALL players, not only on the Lakers. To step up your game, you're tag can be pulled at anytime!

I'm just glad that the Lakers core/chemistry is all still in tact.

Sasha was just a salary cap dump because we are so over the cap and paying the luxury tax.

He also wasn't happy and wanted out because he was getting literally 2 minutes of playing time in garbage time.

There are a few rumors saying Lakers might be interested in Jason Kapono after the Sixers buy out his contract.

Machine is stupid, so if you replace Bynum for D12 Orlando would win the same amount of games if we get D12 and Blake we only win 3 more games

The whole estimated improvement is wack as a whole. On ESPN, they said that the Knicks are now estimated to improve their winning record by 2.

Like... how u doin guy? Is this real life? 2 games from adding another super star and a legit veteran?

Kobe was right about Bynum. Bynum just sucks period

and Mr Gasoft still remain soft. Hit the weight room please Gasol. It's irritating to watch Gasol trying so hard to post up other bigs when he got no base strength

Boston got better now they have Green to help defend LeGod James

Everyone on here keeps talking about the moves the C's made and how it affects our chances against them if we play them in a rubber match this year in the Finals.

But also we should look at how this affects our chances just coming out of the West since the Thunder made moves by getting Perkins & Nazhr to match up with us if we face the Thunder in the WCF this season. I mean the Thunder's front court is pretty stacked now with (Ibaka, Perk, Nazr, and Collison) all they need from those guys is rebounding, defense, and setting picks for Durant & Westbrook to score while they have Harden & Cook to snipe and shoot 3's. Now they also got Nate Robinson to come of the bench and provide scoring while Thabo & Maynor can be defensive specialists off the bench.

Heck the Lakers pick & roll defensive ever since Shaq was here has always been a horrible weakness for us.Also with the pick ups the Thunder made I do think they have enough to get past the Spurs in the 2nd round since the 1 & 4 seeds play each other in the 2nd round of the playoffs.Yeah I know Spurs have the leagues best record and have been playing great but I still think age will catch up with them come playoff time. Jefferson is known to disappear during playoff series and really the key for the Spurs and how far they go is Manu.

Thats why I really think it's important for the Lakers to finish the season with the # 2 seed in the West. They will definitely need home court advantage in the 2nd round against the Mavs and then home court advantage if we play against the Thunder in the WCF.

Sunday's game @ Oklahoma is going to be a playoff atmosphere type game.

Mitch keeps making stupid trades decisions (other than the gift that was gasol and ariza). Signing Artest instead of Ariza. Giving away a draft pick for Joe Smith

.
I don't think any team will even take Walton as an expiring. That's how much dude sucks.
I can see Mitch resigning Luke with a minimum contract saying that he is the glue to the team and that the team can always make use of a 200 level IQ.

Relax and ease up on Mitch. This aint 04-07 era when yeah he made horrible moves as a GM.

First off signing Artest over Ariza they had no choice because Ariza's dumb agent was trying to strong arm & bully Dr. Buss and the Lakers front office. It's been reported several times that they offered Ariza the same exact contract that Ron got and gave him & his agent a midnight deadline to accept their offer. Ariza's agent started playing games and said the Raptors were willing to give him Odom type money of $8 million a year. Also the other problem was is that Jim Buss has a say in a lot of personnel moves and that he was the one of who suggested they sign Ron. Yeah this is the same Jim Buss who's responsible for urging the team to draft Bynum.

Luke getting his deal a few years back I think was more influenced by Phil Jackson's hard on for Luke and his basketball IQ & passing skills for running the triangle and the 2nd unit.

Came here to post exactly that. yea the Celtics were winning without Perk but the Lakers won without Bynum too. doesn't mean I'd replace him with Kristic. Shaq was looking like Diesel early this season but they would always go away fron him in the 2nd half. I don't think he has it in him for 4 quarters.... even back in the last days of Miami he struggled with only a day off between games and that was what...08? JO is Drew's JO healthy or not, I'm not worried about Boston at all. OKC and Chicago are probably the worst matchups for the Lakers in the postseason

You can't change a players style of play.
He's a finesse player, and will always be.  People should just accept it or not.  He's not a Center.

And when the hell did Kobe say Bynum sucks?  I want to listen to that audio....

^ Few summers ago.

Wasn't that the infamous parking lot footage?

It was a few summers ago, though.

Nobody, and I do mean nobody, spoke out against Artest to the Lakers more then I did.

But in a 7 game series vs the Celtics, Ron helped out HUGE.  Ariza wouldn't be able to hold down Paul as well.

First play of the series, opening 20 seconds, Ron and Paul go down to the floor in a tangled mess.  Sending the message, this is not 2008.

And in the final minute of the series, he hits the biggest shot.

I don't like Ron's game one bit, but he came up for us in that series, and I haven't even gotten to game 5 game winner in the WCF.

Longer term it may not work out, but short term, it got us title 16, effectively making the Ariza argument null and void from this point forward.  No matter how much Ron sucks from here on.

Y'all can just shut the hell up watch the Lakers play. Quit talkin about this and that. We just won 2 straight my frickin gosh y'all are suppose to be fans but y'all lookin like haters.
