Official: Lakers @ Blazers 4/8 7PM PST

Lakers habitually struggle at Portland's arena, going 6-18 there the last 13 years, and it doesn't seem to matter whether Trail Blazers are good, bad or indifferent

One the one hand I have a bad feeling about this game because it is in Portland where we almost always lose. One the other hand this game is a quasi-must wingame because we want to only be a game behind NO and SA and therefore but us in a position to get home court by beating them at Staples.

The one thing that gives be some optimism about this game is that whenever we really need a victory in the Rose Garden we tend to get them. Look at the game 4sin 97 and 98 in the first round, The leap day game in 2000 when we both had 11 game win streaks and the #1 was at stake, Games 3 and 4 in the 2000 WCF, bothgame 3s in the first round in 2001 and 2002 and the last game of the 2004 regular season where Kobe's two impossible three pointers won us the PacificDivision.

Portland has some talent but this Laker squad is clearly the better team and we need to win this because we control our own destiny in terms of getting the #1seed. If we win the last five the road to the finals goes through Los Angeles.

--Rose Garden? I'm already mentally preparing to take the L and move on. Steve Blake lights us up for 6 3-pointers.
--Lakers will take care of business after this, winning their last 4 games.
--Nonetheless...
GO LAKERS!!

rose garden end of the year game= dramatic buzzer by kobe FTW lol....need some vids to remind me of the goose time.

Umm... We really dont control our own destiny as far the # 1 seed goes we still need the Hornets to drop 1 game (hopefully tonight against Utah) and then stillhave to beat them this friday just for us to tie them and get the tie breaker over them record wise. The 2nd seed we still need to win out and even up theseason series with the Spurs on sunday to get the tie breaker over them for the second seed.

Bottom line is the Lakers just need to win out the rest of they're regular season games and have a 9 game winning streak going into the playoffs.

^Indeed, every game from here on out is a must win, iono how many times I can say this

.

Rose Garden or not, we have to focus & realize this is a team we should have no trouble beating, take care of business the first 3 quarters & let thestarters sit out most of the 4th. Gotta keep the streak alive!

Lets Go Lakeshow!

Right, Arsenal just got the lights beaten out of them. I don't know what will happen if the Lakers loose tonight and the Hornets win, I really don'tknow.

^^^If I can get the direct link for the stream off that site, I will post it here. Maybe that 'll work on IE........

Oh yea, did I mention that I would be absolutely splendin if we got some help from Utah tonight. I'm just praying they play as well tonight as they didagainst the Spurs, we need a NOH loss as much as we need to win our game.
