There shouldnt be a ONE HOUR LONG special for anything

I wonder if Lebron's press conference has the potential to be as much of a let down as the Sopranos final episode?

a birdie told me carmello has been in his ear since bosh and wade signed with the heat about him coming to nyc to join lebron and amare next season. that he made his mind up on the knicks a few days ago
so melo is going to leave 30 million on the table and maybe a NBA lock out to go to the knicks next year?

is his source ochocinco's twitter?

I hope this isn't true - not because I don't like the Knicks ,but
it just pretty much ruins all of the momentum, anticipation, and excitement behind "Decision 2010".
I would be heated if I was Lebron and ochocino is telling the truth.
Don't worry in a couple hrs they'll be huge rumors saying he's staying or going to Chicago to downplay whoever actually revealed the truth.

Please dont curse my home town Nuggets...All signs point to Melo staying with the Nuggets. It has been said by a local writter for the team(whom i know well), that he is waiting till after his wedding and vacation to sign his extention and that its all but done

I agree with most of what you said, but it seems Lebron tries to go out of the way to say he's from Akron, not Cleveland every time somebody brings up the hometown angle.

If Bosh can do it (as it seems) so can Melo.

Multiple sources told Newsday that LeBron James' one-hour special on ESPN, called "The Decision", will be broadcast from a studio in Greenwich, Conn.

Exactly, he does!  Its like hes trying to distance himself from CLE.  Its just still TOO close to home though ya know?

I'm not even a Knicks fan, but I'd like to Lebron come to NY so it could be Amare & Lebron vs Wade & Bosh...get that old NY vs. MIA rivalry back in action i wanna see some bench clearing like the good 'ol days

My money is on the Nets. It's much bigger than basketball with this dude and this FA BS proved just that. Hope he succeeds though.

Frank Isola said there is a rumor that LeBron will have the press conference at Allan Houston's house.

At least all the money they make off advertisements/commercials during the 1 hour special will be going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America...or so they say

Exactly.

Wade and Bosh wanted to have their moment before James makes his own announcement -- the nature of which remains unknown -- in a live, one-hour special Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on the network that shares the NBA broadcast rights.

If true this is the most disturbing part of this free agency class this year.  All these clowns are trying to capture all the spotlight and media they can, but if they were real athletes and competitors in the first place they would know that they would have HAD their moment had they won the NBA championship this year like Kobe and the Lakers did......(I'm not even a Kobe fan).  You want all the attention and spotlight, how bout you do a parade back in your NBA city while holding up the NBA trophy, that should be all the attention you need and deserve.  I and others can say what they want to about Kobe (Robin
laugh.gif
) all we want to but at the end of the day especially now that guy cares about winning, not endorsements, not TV time, not being on the cover of GQ magazine, not being up on stage at rap concerts, and not about being on the latest episode of Divorce Court to fight over the custody of your 2 kids, but winning and winning it all.

I know things progress with time and age but some of the NBA legends and veterans have to shaking their head at all this recent bufoonery going on the league these days.  Dudes having 1 hour TV specials to announce what team their signing to, +%!% out here.  Somebody like Jordan or Magic should call Lebron up and say %#%%@ just pick a team and get it over with.  The last time I can recall an athlete taking up up hour or so on TV was when Magic announced that he had HIV, now that was truly a reason to hold a press conference over something not team related.

Let's look at the facts...or at least, latest developments. So...

- LeBron is NOT announcing in Ohio.
- LeBron and Byron Scott did NOT speak to each other at his camp. That's what new coaches do with their new players?

- Bosh is going to MIA. I'm sorry but I highly doubt LeBron would be willing to join Wade and Bosh. You can say goodbye to those MVP numbers from here on out if he did. Doubtful.

Then this...

And BabyJ saying what he said about how "LeBron will be a Knick by the 8th unless someone from Nike was lied to." Tomorrow is the 8th.

Twit pics of this months ago...a lot of indications here.

ct???? OH NOZ!!!!!! ONLY REASON HE WOULD GO TO CT IS TO ANNOUNCE HE IS SIGNING WITH BOSTON!!!!!! ONOZ!!!!!!!

lol....living in a town that has no bball team....id love to see lebron in miami....but i say he goes to the knicks with amare. wade-bosh vs. lebron-amare for the next 6 years

I said this in the FA thread, but will say it here as well...

I know that if Bron is going to the NY Area (Knicks or Nets) he would be in a better place then Cleveland. I know his heart is in Ohio and all, but he wants rings, and the best spot to get rings is in NY. Clevelands roster isn't that great... Shaq flopped... Trade for Jamison didn't work out... Bring back "Z" and sit him on the bench like a rookie... I think he would enjoy playing for Avery Johnson, but the system the Knicks play might suit him better... Plus with STAT there, it might be the icing on the cake... As stated earlier, he wanted STAT in Cleveland... here is his chance to play with him, plus they have room for next year's FA class...

I say it is:

45% Knicks
45% Nets
10% Cleveland

Jay-Z has a house in Greenwich, CT too I think.

There are gonna be a huge amount of people who tune out as soon as he announces his decision... so I'm really guessing that he's gonna drag it out until the end

At least the ad revenue is going to the Boys & Girls club
