OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

^^^ Plantar fascia injury - out indefinitely. May be a while. Those injuries take a long time to heal.

At least it's not an achilles though.

Also, Doc and company need to make a combo of AR + Wejo for Ebled happen

In sort of related news, Bledsoe made it clear today he wants out of PHX. Trading for him is tricky to me because nobody I’d give up for him makes enough for the salaries to match, even added up. Guys like Brice, Harrell, maybe Evans or Thornwell.

Would not trade Austin for Bledsoe.

The thing that gives me pause with Bledsoe is his injury history. Just worried about giving up a regular rotation player for him when we already have guys on the team who have had a lot of injury issues in the past.

teodosic being out might give the Blips a bit of time to figure out what they wanna do at the 1 and 2 with beverly, rivers and lou will.

sucks, i really think milos could have played his way into some important minutes for this team.

looks like we will see more of evans/thornwell as well

A lot of sources indicating that we are going after Bledsoe, but there’s competition. Apparently, Bucks are offering Monroe, Thon Maker and a pic. Knicks, Celtics also in the mix.

based on the rumored offers out there, i'd be stunned if we have anything that would make Phoenix do it. I didn't realize Bledsoe was still worth some of the rumors being thrown out there.

Also couldnt believe we was only 27. Feels like he's been in the league for a long time.

i think thats the price they had to give up in order to get someone dumb enough to take Monroe.

Clippers shouldn't even think about Bledsoe. Dude is always hurt. He was nice when he was with the Clips, but let those days stay in the past.

He averaged 21 a game just last season with a 21 PER, which was a career high for him. He also played in 66 games, despite the fact that he didn't play towards the end of the season last year when the suns literally sent him home for tanking purposes. If you include the games that he would have played last year if PHX wasn't tanking, then that would be 2 of the last 3 seasons in which bledsoe would have easily surpassed 70 games played.

He's an upgrade over Austin and Lou to me, and while his defense has fallen a bit, I think that's more due to effort than anything. He has an excellent contract, was a really good spot up and catch and shoot guy for PHX last year, I mean...I'm just all for Bled coming back to LAC if we could pull it off. (Unlikely) Pat Bev, Ebled, and DJ as your starters makes you a top 3 defense in the league. I like it. I'm with it.

You know what your'e right. I totally forgot how much Rivers makes, he's definitely an upgrade. I would definitely keep Williams though. Trade Rivers and throw in Dekker and/or someone else. But will it be enough for the Suns to bite?

I like Lou. Would like to keep him somehow.

Doesn't seem Rivers believes in Dekker, or is he hurt and i just don't know about it.

From what I’ve been reading, it doesn’t seem like we can beat the other offers teams are coming up with in a way that still makes sense for us. I like Bledsoe and would definitely take him back for the right price. But he’s not a guy you overpay for.

He dealt with an injury during the preseason, but is healthy now as far as I know. But Doc generally defers to people he’s familiar with and Wes has actually been playing well, so I think that’s why Dekker hasn’t played much.

and how terrible is Brice? Dude gets zero love from Doc, nothing unusual from Doc i guess when it comes to young players. But man, this kid doesn't get any time.

That's just how Rivers is. If your'e young, have a seat and grab some popcorn. But honestly, where are the minutes for him? Griffin, Jordan, Harrell, and Reed.

^^^ I don’t at all like how reluctant Doc is to give young players run, but I’m not sold on Brice. Average athlete, kind of undersized for a big and not an elite shooter or defender. Never see him
as being more than a decent back-up player.

Brice Johnson has a very real attitude problem and thinks he's better than what he is. Real issue with Work ethic, and not to name drop but I was told that this summer. Even beyond what you said about Brice (Which I 100% agree with), his primadonna attitude and work ethic has had a lot to do with him not playing, etc.

This has been the story with Doc teams since he's gotten here and while I too would love to see some young guys play, it's not like they are prospects, or good. Dawsen isn't even in the NBA, CJ Wilcox right now I think is on portland's d league team, etc. I mean Austin was the only legit prospect we've had in this doc era and he made the rotation and has contributed. I fault Doc and LAC for who they draft, not necessarily not playing the young guys. Young guys for the most part don't play on perennial 50 win teams.

Am interested in how we handle Sindarius and Evans though. Both players Doc and LAC are really high on, especially Sindarius. With Milos out, I would not be surprised to see him crack the rotation for a bit in the next couple of games. They legit think he could be a plus defender from day 1, and I agree.

completely agree. We just haven't been in good spots for the draft. Doc's allergic to keeping the first rounders.

Thornwell and Evans look legit. Really want to see Evans play more.

Well the first rounders we gave up were lotto protected, and because we were winning 50+ games and had a win now core, you could plausibly conclude that they wouldn't have amounted to anything anyway.
