Haven’t been posting as much been busy but my hot take is that the clips win the chip as long as Pat and Kawhi are healthy

Patrick Beverley is soooo good and people who lean into his aesthetic too much miss the playmaking, rebounding, (!), 3pt shooting, floaters, in addition to the intangibles. The Clips over the last 2.5 yrs being trash when he doesn’t play is not a coincidence

i think it will depend on who gets out of the east as well

i saw giannis somewhat get stopped last night by toronto but they had tall and lanky bodies to throw at him (and he still got 19/19/8 but he did struggled) which the clips do not

i am not sure what else they can do at this point though other than hope kawhi and pg tag team him defense when the time comes

100 percent this, but it’s more. Pat just has a knack for making needed plays, whether it’s a bucket, stop or board. His numbers are never going to be eye-popping, but he just does winning stuff.

That is not to say that the Clips don’t need PG

They DEF do and IMO wouldn’t win without PG. but they CAN do it with Kawhi and PG healthy

PG is a huge reason why PG/Kawhi/Pat trio when on the floor together healthy Have blown the doors off teams. I think they’re Net is like 12 per 100 which is literally blowing the doors off teams. This is also why I’m not concerned about lac they just have to be healthy

lets quickly talk about how these guys get along off and on court, i seem to notice this with the clips all these years and why they dont seem close, when someone falls they dont go running to pick the guy up or someone makes a big play like reggie jacksons chase down block, no on goes over to dap him or say “good job”

i know its not an indication of friendships and all but when i see other teams do it, it looks like they really support each other and with new players like jackson and morris, that goes a long way

i want to say its a reach but it goes back to the lob city days and reports of them going on retreats and vacations but then we find out how it really was with cp charging the locker room via hidden dungeon his first game back after he left

is it just me? i just dont see the same camaraderie you see with other teams and i get it, kawhi aint gon be lebron-esque with the cheerleading and all but i would love to see these guys show more connections out there

there are definitely signs like when lou makes a huge basket and they do the dice thingy and patbev gets animated but dude isnjust like that 24/7 no matter what

You could have a point...but sometimes, the on court stuff is smoke and mirrors. The frustrating thing is, sometimes you never know...until it's all over. Like with lob city.

I think with that bunch most folks had an idea, but few knew how bad it really was.

It's just imo, but I look at it from an opposite viewpoint in a sense. To me, kawhi showing emotion when he wanted shamet to run his lane shows the good relationship they could have.

And like HIM Said weeks ago about missing Beverly...Beverly is the vocal leader on this team. That is another reason why his presence is needed on the floor. Imo
